Start the program "Eliminate banned substances in durian production and processing"
In just over a month, durian growing areas in Dak Lak will begin their harvest. Localities are making efforts to apply measures to control the quality of crops and fresh fruit, aiming to build growing areas that meet "clean" standards, strictly complying with the list of banned substances as required by export markets.
At the Thang Tien Agricultural Service Cooperative (Krong Pak District), each durian is attached with a QR code, allowing detailed traceability from the plant, farmer, to the care history. This is an important step in ensuring transparency, meeting the strict standards of markets such as China, Japan and Europe.
Dak Lak Durian Association has also launched the program "Eliminating banned substances in durian production and processing" to improve product reputation and quality.
In addition to controlling quality from the cultivation stage, Dak Lak is promoting the application of technology in processing to enhance the value of the durian supply chain. Some processed products such as freeze-dried durian, durian ice cream combined with cashew nuts, and other creative dishes have begun to appear on the market, contributing to repositioning the durian industry through technology and innovation.
