In the third storm, thousands of hectares of rice and crops were flooded in Dong Trieu rice granary, and a large number of crops and livestock were drowned. Thanks to the initiative of farmers, very quickly after that, the flower, ornamental plant, vegetable, corn, and potato areas of Dong Trieu were deployed, promptly entering the 2024 winter crop. In mid-December, the flower, kumquat, and peach fields in Binh Khe, a key winter crop production area of Dong Trieu, entered the strongest development stage. The kumquat trees here were partly supported and rebuilt after the storm, and partly replanted, supplemented, and intercropped. Up to now, the trees have strong trunks, good leaves, and are ready to flower and bear fruit. The entire flower and ornamental plant fields of Binh Khe are green, fresh, and full of vitality.

Taking advantage of the favorable weather, Mr. Phung Van Thang and his wife, in Doc Man area, Binh Khe ward, Dong Trieu city, focused on pruning the peony flowers. With more than 10 years of experience growing potatoes, Ms. Van believes that this potato crop will be successful for her family. Ms. Van said: Previously, people abandoned their fields during the winter crop. Since growing potatoes, the income has been good, people have planted regularly, and there is no vacant land.
