According to the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, the unit has directed and guided production facilities for Tet goods to have production plans, ensure supply, and meet consumer demand in the city; units distributing and supplying essential goods have plans to exploit reasonable sources of goods, organize points of sale, ensure adequate goods, stable prices to serve the people; organize and implement promotional programs to stimulate consumption.

The Department also requested production and trading enterprises in the area to proactively connect and exploit agricultural products, food, traditional specialties of the provinces, diversify products (priority for Vietnamese goods) to serve the needs of the Hanoi market at the end of the year, before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2024, not to let goods run out, goods shortage causing prices to be pushed up.

For commercial businesses, supermarkets, convenience stores, and gas stations, please consider registering your locations to open for sale until December 30 and reopen on January 1, 2, 3, and 4 to serve the people.

In addition, the Department will organize programs, activities, and events to stimulate shopping to serve people in the city at the end of the year and during the Lunar New Year such as: Organizing sales points, sales trips to serve Tet in districts, industrial parks, export processing zones, and rural areas to serve people during the Lunar New Year; organizing Spring flower markets to serve Tet...

Hanoi currently has 29 shopping malls; 137 supermarkets; 453 markets; 2,000 convenience stores; tens of thousands of grocery stores in districts, towns, and townships; 85 points of introduction and sale of OCOP products in the area,...

In addition, there are 34 e-commerce platforms and multimedia sales channels of traditional distribution systems in the area. It can be seen that with a widespread supply system of goods in the city during Tet, it will meet the diverse needs of consumers.

Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Lan said that the Department will coordinate with relevant units in the inspection and examination of areas related to prices, quality of goods, and ensuring food safety in the city.

Strengthening the implementation of management and operation solutions, ensuring supply and demand balance, stabilizing the market of essential goods to serve the people in the last months of 2023 and the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin in 2024 will not only contribute to promoting economic growth, stimulating consumption, boosting consumption of goods, increasing total retail sales of goods and social service revenue, effectively implementing measures to ensure social security, maintaining political security - social order and safety, stabilizing people's lives in the city.
