Update the latest domestic gold price today, June 18, 2025
At the time of the survey on the morning of June 18, 2025, domestic gold prices recorded a sideways trend at most major brands. Although there were some slight fluctuations at a few brands, the gold market in general did not have significant changes compared to the previous session.
The price of SJC gold bars in Hanoi remained at VND117.6 million/tael (buy) and VND119.6 million/tael (sell). DOJI Group also recorded a similar price, unchanged from yesterday.
At Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, the buying price decreased slightly by VND100,000/tael, down to VND118.2 million/tael. Meanwhile, the selling price increased by VND200,000/tael, reaching VND119.5 million/tael.
Gold price at PNJ continues to remain stable, with buying price at 114 million VND/tael and selling price at 116.8 million VND/tael.
Vietinbank Gold listed the selling price at 119.6 million VND/tael. At Bao Tin Minh Chau, the buying and selling prices were 117.6 million VND/tael and 119.3 million VND/tael, respectively, unchanged from the previous session.
Gold price at Phu Quy maintained the buying price of 117 million VND/tael and the selling price of 119.6 million VND/tael, unchanged from yesterday.
In general, the domestic gold market today, June 18, 2025, did not have many major fluctuations. Gold prices at major brands were mostly flat, reflecting investors' cautious sentiment in the face of unpredictable developments in the international market.

Update world gold price today June 18, 2025 latest
World gold price, at 09:45 on June 18, 2025 (Vietnam time), the world spot gold price was at 3,375.55 USD/ounce. Today's gold price decreased by 11.19 USD/ounce compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,243 VND/USD), world gold is priced at about 111.08 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Compared to the domestic SJC gold bar price on the same day (117.6-119.6 million VND/tael), the current SJC gold price is about 8.52 million higher than the international gold price.
World gold prices are trending down slightly as investor sentiment gradually stabilizes in the short trading week, reducing demand for safe assets and stimulating profit-taking after the previous strong price increase. However, geopolitical instability in the Middle East, especially between Israel and Iran, is still a factor supporting gold prices to remain high. At the same time, the US Federal Reserve (Fed) policy meeting is taking place, with the prediction that interest rates will not change, creating stable conditions for the gold market.
Despite signs of weakness in US economic data, such as lower-than-expected May retail sales, gold prices remain under pressure. Some forecasts from Citi suggest that gold prices could fall below $3,000 an ounce by the end of 2025. On the other hand, many experts, including Adrian Day and CPM Group, remain bullish on gold, thanks to buying demand from global central banks to diversify reserves and reduce dependence on the US dollar.
In other precious metals, silver prices surged to their highest since 2012, while platinum and palladium also posted modest gains. Technically, the August gold contract continued to maintain its uptrend, with clear support and resistance levels, suggesting that market sentiment remains biased towards higher gold prices if the uncertainty persists.
