According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 3,314.47 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 1.29% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (26,390 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 105.4 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 15.6 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

World gold prices fell 0.37% from last week and 6% from the record $3,500/ounce reached on Tuesday.
U.S. economic data showed consumer sentiment fell to its lowest level since the late 1970s in April, while one-year inflation expectations rose to 6.5% from 5%. Traders are awaiting a slew of key data next week, including first-quarter GDP, the ISM manufacturing PMI and the April nonfarm payrolls report.
Gold remains an important safe-haven asset, according to Bart Melek, an analyst at TD Securities. Gold tends to be a good risk-mitigation asset, especially when the U.S. dollar may no longer have the influence it once had as a reserve currency.
Gold-backed exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have seen significant inflows this year, with Chinese ETFs rushing to protect assets from the impact of the global trade war.
Additionally, central bank demand will continue to support gold prices, making gold an attractive safe haven for investors, even as prices rise.
Despite the correction in gold prices, major financial institutions such as JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs still forecast that gold prices could surpass $4,000/oz by 2026, thanks to investment demand and central bank purchases. However, in the short term, the gold market may continue to be highly volatile due to global economic and geopolitical factors.
