Slightly increasing in the early morning, the gold price then continuously increased. At 11am, Saigon Jewelry Company Limited listed the price of SJC gold bars at 68.6 million VND/tael (buy) - 69.3 million VND/tael (sell), an increase of 150,000 VND/tael each way compared to the end of September 19.
Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade increased by VND100,000/tael each way, to VND68.8 million/tael (buy) - VND69.3 million/tael (sell).
Meanwhile, Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited increased the buying price by VND50,000/tael and kept the selling price unchanged, listing at VND68.65 million/tael (buying) - VND69.28 million/tael (selling).
Previously, over the past two days, domestic gold prices increased sharply in the morning but decreased in the afternoon, causing prices to be equal or slightly higher than the previous day.
Today's gold ring price remained the same in some places, increased by 10,000 VND/tael in others, commonly traded at 57.05-57.33 million VND/tael (buy) and 58.1-58.23 million VND/tael (sell). If the buying - selling range of gold bars is 500,000-700,000 VND/tael, the price of gold rings is 900,000-950,000 VND/tael.
In the international market, last night the gold price was stable at 1,930.79 USD/ounce as the market waited for the US Federal Reserve to announce its interest rate policy. This afternoon, the gold price was trading at 1,929 USD/ounce, converted to be about 12.2 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price.
