Gold price increases, oil cools down, USD in banks increases

At the end of the trading session on September 15, the price of 4-digit 9 gold bars at SJC Ho Chi Minh City was VND68 million per tael for buying and VND68.7 million per tael for selling. The price of 4-digit 9 gold bars at SJC Hanoi was listed at VND68 million per tael for buying and VND68.72 million for selling.

Doji Hanoi listed at 67.9 million VND per tael for buying and 68.8 million VND per tael for selling.

On the world market, the spot gold price on Kitco floor at 22:09 on September 15, Vietnam time was at 1,926.4 USD per ounce. The futures gold price was traded at 1,950.4 USD per ounce.

Gold prices rose on the world market today amid economic data from China that had a positive impact on the precious metal. The yuan hit a two-week high against the US dollar after data showed that China's industrial output and retail sales in August exceeded analysts' forecasts.

On the stock market , in the trading session on September 15, VN-Index increased slightly. At the end of the trading session, VN-Index increased by 3.55 points, to 1,227.36 points. HNX-Index increased by 0.9 points, to 252.76 points. UPCoM-Index increased by 0.11 points, to 93.76 points.

The central exchange rate between the Vietnamese Dong (VND) and the US Dollar (USD) announced by the State Bank on September 15 was 24,036 VND/USD, an increase of 23 VND compared to the previous day. The USD price at commercial banks on September 15 increased sharply. The USD buying price at banks all exceeded 24,000 VND, the USD selling price exceeded 24,440 VND.

In the world, the USD price cooled down after a sharp increase. The DXY index - measuring the strength of the USD compared to 6 major currencies - at 22:04 on September 15, Vietnam time was at 105.29 points, down 0.11% compared to the previous session.

Oil prices on the world market today have leveled off after rising to a 10-month high. Oil prices cooled down as investors became more cautious.

In the domestic market, the selling prices of gasoline and oil today are applied according to the prices at the management session on the afternoon of September 11 of the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade. Accordingly, gasoline prices remain unchanged, oil prices increase slightly.

Specifically, the price of E5 gasoline is 23,470 VND per liter. The price of RON 95 gasoline is 24,870 VND per liter. The price of diesel oil increased to 23,055 VND per liter, the price of kerosene increased to 23,188 VND per liter, and fuel oil is 17,704 VND per kilogram.
