Gasoline prices increased across the board, RON95-III up to 20,209 VND per liter

(DN) - From 3:00 p.m. today, gasoline and oil prices increased simultaneously, of which RON95-III gasoline has a new price of 20,209 VND/liter, an increase of 44 VND/liter and diesel price increased by 380 VND/liter, to 19,038 VND/liter.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just sent a document to key traders and distributors of gasoline and oil regarding the management of domestic retail gasoline prices. Accordingly, gasoline prices will increase from 3 p.m. today (October 2).

Specifically, E5RON92 gasoline has a ceiling price of 19,624 VND/liter, an increase of 6 VND/liter, lower than RON95-III gasoline by 585 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline has a new price of 20,209 VND/liter, an increase of 44 VND/liter compared to the previous adjustment on September 25. Following the same upward trend as gasoline prices, diesel oil price increased by 380 VND/liter, to 19,038 VND/liter; kerosene price increased by 377 VND/liter, the new price is 19,005 VND/liter; mazut oil increased by 161 VND, to 15,370 VND/kg.

Since the beginning of the year, the price stabilization fund has remained unchanged, with no deductions or expenditures for petroleum products. A representative of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) said that up to the time before the price adjustment, the balance of the price stabilization fund (BOG) at the enterprise was 3,085 billion VND, unchanged.

According to the representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in this management period, the plan to manage gasoline prices aims to ensure that domestic gasoline price fluctuations are consistent with world gasoline price fluctuations; continue to maintain the price difference between E5RON92 biofuel and RON95 mineral gasoline at a reasonable level to encourage the use of biofuels according to the Government's policy; ensure the harmony of interests between market participants.

In the most recent adjustment on September 25, gasoline prices increased and decreased inconsistently, specifically E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 368 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by 443 VND/liter, diesel oil decreased by 47 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 84 VND/liter and mazut oil increased by 79 VND/kg.

According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading, the time for managing petroleum prices is implemented every Thursday.
