Gasoline prices down, oil prices up from this afternoon

From 3pm today (March 14), each liter of gasoline decreased from 14 to 22 VND/liter, while the price of oil increased the highest by nearly 300 VND/kg.

Specifically, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by 22 VND/liter, to 22,290 VND/liter. The price of RON95 gasoline decreased by 14 VND/liter, not higher than 23,549 VND/liter.

Oil prices increase or decrease depending on the type. Of which, diesel oil price increases by 78 VND/liter, not higher than 20,549 VND/liter; kerosene increases by 97 VND/liter, not higher than 20,706 VND/liter; fuel oil increases by 299 VND/kg, not higher than 16,432 VND/kg.

According to the regulator, the world oil market in this regulatory period (from March 7, 2024 to March 13, 2024) is affected by factors such as: China's CPI has increased but is forecast to increase in the short term, US commercial oil inventories have decreased more sharply than forecast, tensions in the Middle East continue...

The above factors have caused world oil prices to fluctuate between increases and decreases in recent days. The average price of finished oil products in the world during this period is: 94.440 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5 RON92 gasoline (down 0.096 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.10%); 98.764 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (down 0.058 USD/barrel); 101.778 USD/barrel of kerosene (up 0.624 USD/barrel); 102.274 USD/barrel of diesel (up 0.508 USD/barrel); 464.546 USD/ton of fuel oil (up 11.118 USD/ton, equivalent to an increase of 2.54%).

In this management period, in response to the developments in world oil prices, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance decided to set up a price stabilization fund for fuel oil at 300 VND/kg.

At the same time, no price stabilization fund will be set aside for E5 RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel oil and kerosene.

The management agency also does not use the gasoline price stabilization fund for goods.
