RON95-III gasoline price up to nearly 20,000 VND per liter

In this afternoon's operating period, gasoline prices increased while oil prices decreased.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just sent a document to key traders and distributors of gasoline and oil regarding the management of domestic retail gasoline prices. Accordingly, gasoline prices will increase from 3 p.m. today, October 16.

Specifically, E5RON92 gasoline has a ceiling price of 19,226 VND/liter, an increase of 88 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline has a new price of 19,903 VND/liter, an increase of 174 VND/liter compared to the previous adjustment on October 9. In contrast, gasoline prices, diesel oil decreased by 181 VND/liter, down to 18,423 VND/liter; kerosene decreased by 28 VND/liter, the new price is 18,406 VND/liter; mazut oil decreased by 437 VND, down to 14,371 VND/kg.

Since the beginning of the year, the price stabilization fund has remained unchanged, with no deductions or expenditures for petroleum products. A representative of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) said that up to the time before the price adjustment, the balance of the price stabilization fund (BOG) at the enterprise was 3,085 billion VND.

According to the representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in this management period, the plan to manage gasoline prices aims to ensure that domestic gasoline price fluctuations are consistent with world gasoline price fluctuations; continue to maintain the price difference between E5RON92 biofuel and RON95 mineral gasoline at a reasonable level to encourage the use of biofuels according to the Government's policy; ensure the harmony of interests between market participants.

In the most recent adjustment on October 9, gasoline prices decreased simultaneously, specifically E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 489 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by 480 VND/liter, diesel oil decreased by 434 VND/liter; kerosene decreased by 571 VND/liter and mazut oil decreased by 562 VND/kg.

According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading, the time for managing petroleum prices is implemented every Thursday./.
