Two defendants sentenced to prison for resolving conflict by violence

According to the case file, on the evening of April 28, 2018, Huynh Thieu Phong and Vo Huynh Nam Hoai (both residing in Tuy Hoa City) went to a coffee shop in Tuy Hoa City to meet Phuc and Duy to reconcile the conflict between Phuc and Phong’s sister. However, during the conversation, the two sides had a conflict and challenged each other to a fight.

At this time, Huynh Minh Sang and a young man (unknown background), both of whom were friends of Phuc, rode a motorbike to the shop. Seeing Phuc arguing, the two joined in the fight. Phuc, Duy, Sang and this young man used glass cups, bricks and concrete to continuously throw at Phong's head and face. Phong ran away, Phuc chased after him with a knife and stabbed him in the back, causing the victim to fall onto the street.

As a result, Phong suffered 56% injuries. After the incident, Phuc and Duy compensated the victim 210 million VND. Phuc had two previous convictions for using and organizing the illegal use of drugs.

Huynh Minh Sang and the young man whose identity and background have not been determined have fled after committing the crime. The Provincial Police Investigation Agency has issued a wanted notice and separated the criminal case to continue investigating, arresting and handling them according to the law.
