Attending the ceremony were Major General Khiev Sameth, President of the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF); Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan, President of the Southeast Vietnam Football Federation (VFF); and representatives of sponsors.

At the ceremony, AFF President Khiev Sameth affirmed that ASEAN Women's MSIG Serenity Cup 2025 is not only about organizing a quality tournament, but also inspiring a generation of young girls across ASEAN: dare to dream bigger, aim for greater heights, and compete with courage and pride.
According to Major General Khiev Sameth, Vietnam was chosen as the host country of the tournament because in recent years, the country has always been a pioneer in promoting women's football in the region. He also sent thanks to the authorities of Phu Tho and Hai Phong provinces - the localities hosting the tournament this year.
“We are particularly proud of the historic milestones achieved by ASEAN teams in recent years – such as Vietnam, the Philippines, Australia and Thailand at the recent World Cups, as well as the strong rise of football nations such as Cambodia and Timor-Leste at both youth and senior levels,” said Major General Khiev Sameth.
In the draw, as the host of Group A (Hai Phong), the Vietnamese women's team is in the same group with Thailand, Indonesia and Cambodia. Group B (Viet Tri) is considered to be an equally interesting and fierce competition between the Philippines, Myanmar, Australia and Timor Leste. The teams will compete in a round robin to determine the top two teams in each group to advance to the semi-finals scheduled for August 16. The third-place match and the final are scheduled for August 19.
