Works bearing the name of President Ho Chi Minh are present all over the world , including faraway places like Madagascar, Angola, Venezuela, Cuba... or in literary and artistic works, helping the world better understand the history, culture and people of Vietnam.
Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space is not only a place to display traditions, but also a place to connect values - where international friends can deeply feel the Vietnamese spirit through the image of a great man. From there, it contributes to enriching mutual understanding, strengthening friendship, and spreading the aspiration for peace, cooperation, and development that President Ho Chi Minh once pursued.
That was the comment of Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Secretary General of the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO Le Thi Hong Van at the international workshop "Ho Chi Minh cultural space at Vietnamese representative agencies abroad" organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on June 9.

According to Ambassador Le Thi Hong Van, the image of President Ho Chi Minh is present in many continents in diverse forms such as monuments, squares, schools, museums and memorial works.
These symbols not only show the respect of international friends for Him, but are also vivid evidence of the friendly relations between Vietnam and other countries.
Currently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is designing a Ho Chi Minh Space model with flexible components such as portrait statues, national flags, photo and document exhibition areas, and multilingual bookcases on Ho Chi Minh's ideology and Vietnamese culture, on the one hand meeting the needs of standardizing Vietnamese representative agencies, on the other hand helping to promote more effectively the work of introducing and honoring President Ho Chi Minh in the world in a synchronous manner.
According to Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu, Chairman of the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO, the contents of the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space will become a common identification symbol of Vietnamese representative agencies, and at the same time become a multifunctional space for activities such as political activities, organizing cultural activities to serve the Vietnamese community abroad, officials and employees of representative agencies, and a solemn place to organize foreign affairs activities.

According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu, the construction of Ho Chi Minh Space requires comments from researchers and experts in culture, history, design and fine arts to ensure solemnity, intimacy and effective use.
Concluding the workshop, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu outlined a number of tasks that need to be coordinated.
Firstly, continue to complete the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space Project in the direction of standardizing content, creating form, suitable to local conditions, combining digital technology with traditional exhibitions, targeting young people, local communities and overseas Vietnamese.
Second, promote intangible activities, such as documentaries, music, painting, and literature.
Third, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will coordinate with foreign representative agencies in Hanoi and Vietnamese embassies in other countries to collect documents, images, and memorabilia about Uncle Ho, connect with historical witnesses and international friends who met Uncle Ho, in order to add depth to the content and humanistic values of Ho Chi Minh Cultural Spaces.

Fourth, promote the role of Vietnamese representative agencies in the host country - a place to connect the Vietnamese community, introduce the image of Vietnam to the world and spread the ideological values, ethics and style of Ho Chi Minh - a symbol of peace, humanity and aspiration for development.
Fifth, strengthen the support of localities, businesses, overseas intellectuals and people in socializing resources, contributing initiatives, artifacts and valuable documents to serve the construction and promotion of Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space.
“Promoting the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh - National Liberation Hero, Outstanding Cultural Man, is not only a historical responsibility, but also a current mission, to convey about a renewed, integrated, dynamic, creative, responsible Vietnam as well as to spread his progressive and humane ideology to the international community, especially the young generation. Ho Chi Minh Cultural Spaces will not only be symbolic, but will truly become the cultural heart of Vietnam in each host country,” the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized./.
The workshop is a meaningful activity in a series of events celebrating the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (1890-2025).
The conference was divided into two discussion sessions. The first session focused on ways to honor President Ho Chi Minh through intangible arts such as literature, music, cinema, theatre, academic exchanges and multimedia. The UNESCO representative in Hanoi also shared the similarities between Ho Chi Minh’s ideology on lifelong learning and the orientation of global sustainable education.
The second session focused on discussing the topic “Building Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space: International experience and practices at Vietnamese representative agencies abroad.”
