On behalf of the Party and State leaders, speaking at the meeting, President Luong Cuong acknowledged and commended the proud achievements of the Vietnam Craft Village Association and artisans nationwide in recent times; at the same time, he welcomed the central and local ministries, branches and localities that have proactively and actively coordinated with the Party and State to propose policies and solutions to restore, preserve, honor and develop traditional craft villages, create livelihoods for people, promote the value of traditional crafts and the cultural identity of craft villages in the process of deep international integration of the country.
Craft villages are places that preserve pure Vietnamese culture, where handicraft products are produced, not only with practical value, but also with high artistic value, demonstrating the talent, creativity and ingenuity of Vietnamese artisans; at the same time, they are places that create jobs for millions of workers, contributing to structural change and promoting socio -economic development.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Trinh Quoc Dat, Chairman of the Vietnam Craft Village Association, said that Vietnamese craft villages always hold an important position in the economic and cultural life of the country. Craft village products always bear the cultural identity of the ethnic groups in the regions, preserving the thousand-year-old cultural quintessence of our nation. Traditional crafts in craft villages passed down through many generations have been refined and developed, becoming a valuable asset of the country.
