Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Tran Thanh Hai inspected the Dong Dong Model Cultural Village.
Inspecting the first water intake at Then and Cao Phong pumping stations in Song Lo district, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Tran Thanh Hai requested that Irrigation LLCs operate the maximum pumping stations to take water into the fields and store it in the main canal system, ponds, lagoons, and low-lying areas to serve land preparation and planting; regularly check the banks of the areas and plots to strictly manage the water source, avoid leakage causing water waste, operate water intake reasonably, scientifically and effectively, and save water; arrange a permanent force on water discharge days to proactively take water for high efficiency.
After the water discharge, companies need to continue monitoring the water level on the river to operate the pumping stations; at the same time, develop a drought prevention plan for areas with difficult water sources. In the long term, with the trend of decreasing water levels on the river, it is recommended that all levels and sectors promptly invest in renovating riverside pumping stations to take water at low water levels.
