Supervise the handling of complaints, denunciations and recommendations of citizens at the People's Committee of An Duong district
(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of January 15, the Thematic Supervision Delegation of the Standing Committee of the City People's Council, led by Comrade Pham Quoc Ka, Head of the Legal Committee of the City People's Council, worked with the People's Committee of An Duong district on the settlement of complaints, denunciations and recommendations of citizens. Also attending were representatives of relevant departments, branches and units.

In recent times, the People's Committee of An Duong district has organized and implemented well the work of receiving citizens, resolving complaints, denunciations and recommendations of citizens. The situation of complaints and denunciations of citizens in the district has changed a lot, reducing both the nature and the development of cases. The effective activities of receiving citizens, resolving complaints and denunciations have made an important contribution to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management in the district; contributing to ensuring security and order.

At the meeting, the People's Committee of An Duong district requested the City People's Committee and the City Inspectorate to increase the opening of professional training courses, dissemination of laws on Inspection, citizen reception, complaint and denunciation settlement, and grassroots mediation for cadres and civil servants, especially cadres, civil servants, and grassroots mediation teams in communes and towns; issue specific guidance documents on implementing the training regime for cadres and civil servants working in citizen reception, complaint and denunciation settlement.
The District People's Committee requested the Supervisory Delegation to advise competent agencies and levels to complete and synchronize legal documents, especially documents on land and construction order, which account for over 90% of the number of received petitions; amend and replace a number of regulations and documents guiding the implementation of the Law on Citizen Reception, to synchronize with the new regulations of the Law on Inspection, the Law on Denunciation... and other relevant legal regulations; request competent agencies to have regulations and instructions on specific sanctions for collectives, organizations and individuals who make untrue complaints and denunciations for the purpose of profiteering and causing insecurity and disorder in the locality.

Through monitoring records, listening to reports and opinions, the Monitoring Delegation assessed that the People's Committee of An Duong district always pays attention to leading and directing Party committees at all levels, authorities, agencies and units under the district to strictly implement legal provisions in public reception, handling complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections of citizens in order to promptly detect shortcomings and problems, prevent, detect and handle violations of the law; promote positive factors, protect the interests of the State, the rights and legitimate interests of agencies, organizations and individuals... contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management in all fields, maintaining political security and social order and safety.
The monitoring delegation requested the District People's Committee to continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the guiding documents on citizen reception, complaint and denunciation settlement in the coming time; organize and maintain citizen reception, receive, classify and process petitions in accordance with regulations; promote propaganda and dissemination of laws on citizen reception, complaint and denunciation settlement for officials and people; organize training to improve professional qualifications for officials, civil servants and people directly involved in citizen reception, petition handling, complaint and denunciation settlement to meet the requirements of local socio-economic development. The monitoring delegation will accept the recommendations of the district and report to competent authorities for consideration and decision.
