Launched in the Vietnamese market on September 24, 2021, KIA K3 is a mid-life upgrade (facelift) of the previous Cerato model. The name change from Cerato to K3 is part of KIA's plan to synchronize the names of its product chain globally.

KIA K3 offers many choices with versions from Deluxe, Luxury, Premium to Turbo GT. The overall dimensions of the car are 4,640 x 1,800 x 1,450 mm, wheelbase 2,700 mm, ground clearance 150 mm. Fuel tank capacity is 50 liters, unladen weight 1,260 kg and total weight 1,670 kg.

The car is equipped with a 1.6 MPI Gamma engine for the standard versions, a 1.6 Turbo engine for the GT version. Maximum capacity reaches 126 horsepower for the MPI version and 201 horsepower for the Turbo version. These versions come with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, while the Turbo GT version uses a 7-speed DCT transmission.

The exterior of the new KIA K3 retains the overall design of its predecessor, but is more refined with new headlights, front bumper, fog lights and rear taillights. In particular, the 1.6 Premium version uses an automatic on/off LED lighting system, while the other two versions use halogen projector bulbs.

The interior of the 2024 KIA K3 has been improved with many convenient features aimed at young, experience-loving customers. Highlights include a newly designed steering wheel, a larger entertainment screen, and a hands-free trunk opening feature. The 2.0 Premium version has many amenities such as wireless phone charging, heated and cooled front seats, a 10.25-inch entertainment screen, a 6-speaker sound system, and many modern safety features.
