In early August, in An Hai ward, the "Fundraising Booth" model associated with the "Godmother" Program was held at two locations: 868 Ngo Quyen and 289 Nguyen Cong Tru.
Ms. Nguyen Thuy Hong My Le Dung (member of the sales team) shared that the baskets of fresh seasonal fruits and flowers that the members busily prepared and displayed all came from the hearts of the staff, members and philanthropists.
In just a few hours in the morning, more than 400kg of various fruits were sold out, bringing in profits to serve the humanitarian goals of the "Godmother" Program.
“We see this not only as a fundraiser, but also as a way for each member to contribute. Those who have fruit contribute fruit, those who are busy come to help sell. Each basket of goods sold is a little bit of love sent to those in difficult circumstances,” Dung said.
Evaluating the model, Ms. Huynh Thi Hong Thuy, President of the Women's Union of An Hai Ward, said that with a sense of responsibility and solidarity for the community, the booth is maintained periodically twice a month, on the 14th and 30th of the lunar calendar. Each sale session attracts a large number of members, officials and people to participate and support.
The profit earned after each session does not stop at numbers, but also brings great spiritual value, becoming a practical source of funding to continue implementing the humanitarian goals of the "Godmother" Program, accompanying orphans, helping them have conditions to study, develop and grow up in the love and sharing of the community.
In Hoa Cuong ward, Binh Thuan Folk Dance Club also implemented a model of selling "Home-grown clean vegetables" every weekend at 165 Trung Nu Vuong.
This product is grown by members themselves or purchased from gardens and cooperatives in Hoa Vang commune, ensuring food safety and hygiene while building trust with consumers.
All profits are donated to charity funds to support local welfare activities.
Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Thanh, Head of Binh Thuan Folk Dance Club, said: "The model has been maintained for many years, with 40 core members and is being implemented in 46 branches in the ward.
We hope that in the coming time, the model will receive the companionship and support of more people to have more resources to implement many charity programs, promptly sharing with difficult cases."
Sharing the same sentiment, Ms. Tran Mai Phuong, a member of the Binh Thuan Dan Vu Club, said: “This form has a strong influence because everyone can contribute, some contribute goods, some contribute labor, some come to buy to support.
More importantly, each sale also creates additional funds to support poor patients being treated at Da Nang Hospital and Oncology Hospital.”
Ms. Dinh Thi Que, President of the Women's Union of Hoa Cuong Ward, affirmed that the fundraising booth activity is not simply about selling goods, but also a place where members work together, share together, and create resources for the "Godmother" program.
It is the consensus and contribution of cadres, members and people that has made the success, helping the activity become a highlight in the ward's women's movement, and at the same time is the motivation for the association to continue to replicate the model in the coming time.
