In 2023, the Blind Association was sponsored by the Innovation Fund and the Big Data Research Institute to implement the project "Preserving and developing pentatonic music in the lives of blind Khmer people in Soc Trang province". The project includes two contents: equipping a pentatonic orchestra and opening a pentatonic music class for 8 members who are blind Khmer people. Therefore, at the exchange session, speakers and artists shared some more knowledge about the origin, role, importance, and performance skills of pentatonic music. In addition, the Blind Association's pentatonic music team also performed a number of pentatonic music pieces for delegates to comment and give feedback...
This is an activity that contributes to the Blind Association’s staff and members, especially students of the pentatonic music class, to access more knowledge and understanding of pentatonic music. From there, they can apply it to the learning and performing of pentatonic music in the future.
