This is an activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, which is also the day of the successful conclusion of the military diplomatic struggle to implement the Agreement on Ending the War and Restoring Peace in Vietnam (abbreviated as the Paris Agreement on Vietnam) of the two military delegations of the Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam in the Four-Party and Two-Party Joint Military Commissions.

At the meeting, the Veterans Liaison Committee of the Joint Military Committee - Davis Camp reviewed the heroic and resilient fighting tradition of the Vietnamese army and people, the military diplomatic struggle of the two military delegations of the Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam during 823 days and nights to implement the military provisions of the Paris Agreement on Vietnam and successfully completed the assigned tasks. Typical was the struggle to force the US imperialists to withdraw all US troops and US vassal troops from the South within 60 days according to the Paris Agreement and to return prisoners of war from all sides captured during the war, contributing significantly to the great victory of spring 1975, liberating the South and unifying the country.
With their outstanding achievements, the two military delegations were awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the President and were recognized as units directly participating in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, the 6th attack - the military diplomatic attack. With its unique values, Davis Camp - the "Headquarters" of the two military delegations was recognized as one of the four typical historical relics, especially important to the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, ranked as a National Historical Relic.
At the meeting, the Liaison Committee also presented the Paris Agreement Implementation Medal to many veterans and displayed hundreds of photos, documents, and artifacts about the struggle to implement the Paris Agreement on the South by the two Vietnamese military delegations and the activities of veterans of the Joint Military Commission - Davis Camp over the past 30 years. The photos and artifacts on display were selected from many different sources, reflecting the struggles and results achieved by the two military delegations as well as the vibrant activities of veterans of the Joint Military Commission - Davis Camp over the past years.
Colonel Doan Chi Cong, Head of the Veterans Liaison Committee of the Joint Military Committee - Davis Camp, said that the series of activities not only review traditions but also serve as an opportunity to inspire and educate the younger generation, connecting historical values with the present and the future. The veterans hope that through this event, they will continue to strongly spread the "Davis Camp spirit" to the community, so that everyone can better understand that Vietnamese bravery does not only lie in the battlefield of bombs and bullets but also shines in heroic spirit, intelligence, aspiration for peace and humanity...
In order to preserve and supplement information sources on the implementation of the Paris Agreement on Vietnam, at the meeting, the Liaison Committee handed over to the National Archives Center III many images, documents and artifacts that have been preserved by veterans for the past 50 years. Director of the National Archives Center III - Dr. Tran Viet Hoa said that these are valuable documents and artifacts and will be preserved and promoted by the Center along with many other valuable documents of the country that are being preserved by the Center.
