In the deep minds of Vietnamese people, the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month is not only a historical milestone, but also a sacred symbol, reminding every Vietnamese person of their roots and arousing the bond between compatriots. Thousands of years have passed, through many ups and downs, our people still wholeheartedly worship the Hung Kings - the ancestors who founded the nation - as a reminder that we are a nation with the same bloodline and the same destiny.

We are proud to be descendants of the Dragon and Fairy – that beautiful legend not only talks about a cultural identity, but also about a profound philosophy of solidarity. From a single embryo, a hundred eggs, a hundred brothers born together – the Vietnamese nation was formed with an inseparable bond of blood and kinship. Therefore, only in Vietnam, people call each other “compatriots” – two simple but sacred words, containing so much love and responsibility. “Compatriots” is not just a way of addressing, but an ideal of life, a sacred thread that binds all Vietnamese people together.

As descendants of the Dragon and Fairy, we are not only proud of our origins – but also nurture an aspiration: how can our country reach high, reach far, become a dragon in a world full of changes. Becoming a dragon – is no longer a fanciful image – but is something that is gradually taking shape through each solid step: institutional reform, streamlining the apparatus, fighting corruption and waste, promoting innovation, breakthroughs in science and technology development and digital transformation... The great reforms that our Party and General Secretary To Lam are steadfastly implementing will pave the way for that dream – and although there are still many difficulties, the belief in a future of a strong country is stronger than ever.

In the current context, when the country is changing day by day, when the world is facing many unpredictable fluctuations, compatriots must become an endogenous strength to help us overcome. New challenges are knocking on the door. Global trade barriers are tightening, and it is also a warning that we cannot be subjective. Strategic competition between major powers, pressure to shift supply chains, and crises in climate, geopolitics , economics, etc. are placing very high demands on adaptability and national cohesion, and must unite to rise up.

In that great wave, it is even more precious that the spirit of compatriots is still nurtured and exists in very specific things. One of the most touching proofs is the policy of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses that the Government is focusing on implementing. With the strong direction of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh , hundreds of thousands of households have a solid roof - a more cozy and complete life. No one is left behind - not only a slogan, but is becoming a reality after 50 years of liberating the South and unifying the country. People feel protected, cared for, and loved. And perhaps, that is the simplest and clearest image of compatriotism in modern times.

I believe that this journey is not only for the State, but for all of us – ordinary citizens living on this beloved S-shaped land. Each of us has a part to play, a situation, a small contribution, but if everyone does their part well, the country will certainly become stronger from there. Let’s live more kindly, study harder, work more responsibly and be more generous with each other – because in each of those actions, we are adding strength to the dream of becoming a dragon.

On this sacred Ancestor's Death Anniversary, when hundreds of millions of people turn to the Ancestral Land, remembering the Hung Kings, I just want to say one simple thing: thank our Ancestors for giving birth to us in a nation that knows how to love each other and giving us the opportunity to contribute our small part to the journey to the future of the country.

As long as the spirit of compatriotism still lives in the hearts of Vietnamese people, the belief and hope for a country that becomes a dragon will remain strong and will definitely come true, nothing can stop it!
