Southern Vietnamese pottery is a general term for the pottery-producing regions in southeastern Vietnam from the late 18th century to the present day, with its peak period spanning from the mid-19th century to the mid-20th century.

According to Mr. Le Van Thai, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, Southern Vietnamese ceramics stand out with their distinct style, such as the incised and openwork carving of Bien Hoa ceramics, the oxide colors painted on Lai Thieu ceramics, and the embossed designs of Cay Mai ceramics, gradually spreading throughout the six provinces of Southern Vietnam.

The thematic exhibition "Southern Vietnamese Ceramics Through the Ages" aims to honor the value and role of ceramics in the material and spiritual life of Vietnamese people in general, and the people of Southern Vietnam in particular.
This helps the public better understand the history and development of Southern Vietnamese ceramics through different periods. It also contributes to promoting the unique cultural and historical heritage of the Southern region.

At the event, the Lai Thieu Antique Pottery and Pot Club and Nang Ceramic Company donated several artifacts to the Binh Duong Museum, adding to the museum's existing collection of ceramics.
Specifically, the Lai Thieu Antique Pottery and Jar Club donated a collection of 18 Lai Thieu jars and pots dating back nearly 100 years. Nang Ceramic Company donated three collections: Hoa Song Be, Incense Burners, and a collection of Lai Thieu cups and plates produced between 1975 and 1986.

Representatives from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports and the Ho Chi Minh City Museum presented certificates from the Binh Duong Museum to the participating units, recognizing their contributions to this thematic exhibition.
