Southern pottery is the general name for the pottery regions that developed in the Southeast from the late 18th century to the present, with the heyday period stretching from the mid-19th century to the mid-20th century.

Mr. Le Van Thai, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Information of Ho Chi Minh City, said that Southern pottery emerged with its own unique style in the combination of sunken carving and filigree carving of Bien Hoa pottery, oxide paint on Lai Thieu pottery, embossed carving of Cay Mai pottery and gradually spread throughout the six provinces of the South.

The thematic exhibition "Southern ceramics through the ages" aims to honor the value and role of ceramics in the material and spiritual life of Vietnamese people in general and Southern people in particular.
Thereby, helping the public better understand the history of formation and development of Southern ceramics through the ages. At the same time, contributing to promoting the unique cultural heritage and traditional history of the Southern region.

At the program, Lai Thieu Ceramic and Antique Pots Club and Nang Ceramic Company donated some artifacts to Binh Duong Museum, adding to the ceramic collection that the museum is preserving.
Specifically, Lai Thieu Ceramics and Antique Pots Club donated a collection of 18 Lai Thieu jars and pots dating back nearly 100 years. Nang Ceramic Company donated 3 collections: Hoa Song Be, Lu Huong and a collection of Lai Thieu cups and plates produced between 1975 and 1986.
