GSM brings Vietnamese electric car model to Laos

On May 17, Green and Smart Mobility Joint Stock Company (GSM), the operator of the Green SM electric car-hailing service, officially announced the deployment of the Green SM Platform technology platform in Laos, and at the same time distributed two electric car models VinFast VF3 and VF5 in this market.

Laos becomes the second international market, after Vietnam, where GSM has a full presence in both ride-hailing and electric vehicle distribution. GSM has been operating for more than a year in four provinces: Vientiane, Vang Vieng, Savannakhet and Champasak.

From this platform, GSM continues to deploy Xanh SM Platform, an open technology solution that allows people who own VinFast electric cars in Laos to register as service drivers, proactively generating income. In particular, driver partners are shared revenue up to 87%.

In parallel, GSM also opened the first VinFast store on Kaysone Phomvihane Street (Xaythany District, Vientiane Capital) and opened two car lines, VF3 and VF5. GSM is the exclusive distribution partner of VinFast in Laos. VF5 is priced in Laos at 450,297,000 kip (about 20,690 USD, including VAT).

From now until May 31, customers who make a deposit will receive a direct discount of $450, 50% off charging costs for 2 years, or convert the incentive into $1,000, deducted from the car purchase price. The total incentive can be up to $1,450, bringing the actual price to about $19,240.

Meanwhile, the VF3 is a compact, four-seater mini electric car with a listed price of 269,656,000 kip (about 12,390 USD). Customers who deposit by May 31 will receive a direct discount of 250 USD and a 50% discount on charging costs for 2 years, which can be converted into 250 USD in cash. The total incentive of 500 USD brings the actual ownership price to about 11,890 USD.
