Ha Bao Phuong Vinh and Quang Hai, Tran Quyet Chien won HBSF Tour 2

The final competition day (August 5) of the 2025 HBSF Tour 2 MIN Table Cup billiards tournament helped determine the champions, in which Tran Quyet Chien won the men's 3-cushion carom event.

In the final match of the men's 3-cushion carom event, Tran Quyet Chien competed with Dinh Quang Hai. This was a match in which both players played a tight game, with the score tied for most of the first half.

In the second half, Quang Hai took the lead 36-30. At this time, Tran Quyet Chien with a series of 7 points turned the match around, taking the lead 40-36 before winning 50-41 after 32 innings, thereby winning the 2025 HBSF Tour 2 championship.

Previously in the semi-finals, Vietnam's number 1 player defeated a very classy opponent, Bao Phuong Vinh. In addition, he also defeated Tran Thanh Luc in the round of 16.

With the championship of the HBSF Tour 2 Billiards Tournament, Tran Quyet Chien received 50 million VND in prize money. This is a good start for Vietnam's number 1 player for the 2025 World Games which will take place in the next few days in Chengdu (China).

Dinh Quang Hai came in second and received 20 million. Two players Bao Phuong Vinh and Nguyen Nhu Le tied for third place, each receiving 15 million VND. Tran Thanh Luc received the Excellent Series award and Nguyen Nhat Hoa received the Best Game award, each receiving 5 million VND.

The top 8 and top 16 players received 8 million and 5 million VND respectively.

In the final of the men's 9-ball pool event, former national champion Nguyen Hoang Minh Tai showed his class with an 11-4 victory over Chau Chieu Minh. Winning the championship, Minh Tai received 50 million VND. Chau Chieu Minh won the runner-up position and received 20 million.

Ngo Hong Thang and Truong Nguyen Dinh Huan won third place and received 10 million. The top 8 players each received 3 million and the top 16 received 1 million.

In the women's 3-cushion carom event, Nguyen Thi Thu Hien won the championship with an overwhelming score of 30-12 after 36 rounds against Nguyen Thi Bich Tram. Thu Hien received 10 million VND.

Runner-up Bich Tram received 5 million VND. Phung Kien Tuong and Nguyen Thi Lien, both third place winners, received 2 million VND. Nguyen Duc Yen Sinh received Best Game, and Nguyen Thi Lien received the Excellent Series award, each awarding 1 million VND.

Finally, in the women's 9-ball pool category, Bui Xuan Vang won 7-1 against Kieu Tuyet Nhung, thereby receiving 10 million VND for the champion. Tuyet Nhung came in second and received 5 million VND. Nguyen Thi Phuong Uyen and Huynh Thi Ngoc Huyen received 2 million VND for the two third-place players. The players in the top 8 received 1 million VND.

Also at the award ceremony, the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards & Snooker Federation awarded 5 players of the Ho Chi Minh City billiards & snooker team who won gold medals at the 2025 national finals, including Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu (3-cushion carom), Bui Xuan Vang (women's 9-cushion pool), Nguyen Tang Doan Anh Dung (English Billiards), Nguyen Thi Lien (women's 3-cushion carom) and Duong Quoc Hoang (men's 10-cushion pool).

After Tour 2, the HBSF is scheduled to return with Tour 3 in October.
