Ha Nam aims to welcome 5.1 million tourists in 2025

Kinhtedothi-In recent years, Ha Nam tourism has made a strong transformation, affirming its position as an attractive destination in the Red River Delta region. Continuing that success, the province aims to welcome 5.1 million tourists in 2025 with expected revenue of 4,300 billion VND.


Ha Nam: an attractive cultural, historical and spiritual destination

Ha Nam possesses many favorable factors for tourism development, especially profound cultural, historical and spiritual values. Typical tourist destinations such as Tam Chuc Lake, Ngu Dong Son, Luon Cave, Bat Canh Son, Kem Trong or traditional craft villages such as Doi Tam blacksmith village and 500-year-old Quyet Thanh pottery village are all attractive destinations, attracting domestic and foreign tourists. In particular, Tam Chuc tourist area after the United Nations Vesak Festival in 2019 has become a prominent destination on the spiritual tourism map of Vietnam, attracting millions of visitors each year.

According to statistics, Ha Nam currently has nearly 2,000 historical and cultural relics, many of which have been ranked at the national level. Notable destinations such as Tran Thuong Temple, Lanh Giang Temple, Ba Danh Pagoda, Long Doi Son Pagoda and Truc Temple not only have historical value but are also unique cultural and spiritual spaces. In addition, the province is also famous for traditional festivals such as Tich Dien Festival, Tran Thuong Temple's salary distribution ceremony, Lieu Doi Wrestling Festival...

In addition, Ha Nam is also a land of mandarins with many famous figures in national history such as Tam Nguyen Yen Do Nguyen Khuyen, writer and martyr Nam Cao... This is a great advantage to help Ha Nam develop cultural and historical tourism, contributing to enriching the province's tourism products.

Diversify tourism promotion activities

To achieve the target of welcoming 5.1 million visitors by 2025, Ha Nam is implementing many synchronous development strategies. One of the top priorities is to strongly invest in transport infrastructure, helping to connect more conveniently with the capital Hanoi and neighboring provinces. Highways, railways and roads are being upgraded to facilitate the travel of tourists.

Along with that, the province focuses on improving the quality of tourism services. Resorts, luxury hotels, restaurants and shopping centers are being developed to meet the increasing demands of tourists. At the same time, new types of tourism such as eco-tourism, luxury resorts and sports tourism are also being heavily invested in to diversify the experience for tourists.

In addition to infrastructure investment, Ha Nam has promoted tourism image through communication campaigns and tourism promotion events at home and abroad. Cooperation with major provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Ninh Binh, and Nam Dinh is also part of the strategy to attract tourists. In particular, the province will continue to develop unique tourism products such as spiritual tourism, craft village tourism, and eco-tourism.

In addition, Ha Nam is strengthening international cooperation, attracting large investors in the tourism sector, and organizing regional events to promote the province's tourism potential. The orientation of developing smart tourism is also being implemented with the application of technology in management and improving the quality of tourism services, helping tourists have a more convenient and attractive experience.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Nam, tourism development cannot be separated from environmental protection and promoting cultural heritage values. Therefore, the province is actively implementing eco-tourism programs, community tourism and natural landscape protection. This is not only a factor that helps improve the experience of tourists but also contributes to building a sustainable tourism, bringing long-term benefits to the locality.

With positive developments and a well-planned strategy, Ha Nam is gradually affirming its position as an attractive destination in the Northern region. Setting the target of welcoming 5.1 million visitors by 2025 not only promotes the local economy but also motivates to improve the quality of tourism, making Ha Nam one of the important destinations on the Vietnamese tourism map.

 

In 2024, Ha Nam will welcome 4,731 million tourists (110% of the annual plan, 108% of 2023). Of which, international visitors are estimated at 147,300, and domestic visitors are estimated at 4,583.7 million.

Total revenue from tourists is estimated at VND 3,657 billion (110% of the annual plan and 108.1% over the same period in 2023).

In particular, in 2024, Ha Nam was consecutively awarded two prestigious tourism industry awards by the World Tourism Organization as "Asia's Leading Emerging Tourist Destination" and the Special Achievement Award in Tourism. This is a very important milestone in promoting tourism development in the province in the coming time.
