As soon as the water receded, hundreds of staff members from the working groups under the Soc Son Power Company and the Hanoi Power Corporation quickly arrived at the scene, checking each transformer station, each power line, and each affected household. Groups of workers divided themselves to check the insulation, clean the equipment, and instruct people on how to use electricity safely after the water receded. Despite the difficult conditions, the power restoration was still carried out smoothly, ensuring both speed and absolute safety.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Cam, Deputy Director of Soc Son Power Company shared: “With a management area spanning 7 communes; in which, Trung Gia and Da Phuc communes suffered the most damage after storm No. 11, affecting the lives of about 36,000 customers. As soon as the water receded to a safe level, we immediately deployed to check and restore power to each area as soon as possible. However, the highest principle is still safety not only for the people but also for the staff. Electricity will only be restored when the technical conditions and electrical safety are met.”

By the afternoon of October 20, Soc Son Power Company had safely restored power to nearly 200 of the last customers in the capital affected by flooding. Mr. Ngo Van Hong, a resident of Ngo Dao village, Da Phuc commune, Hanoi city, said: "My house is still heavily wet so the power cannot be turned back on. However, in the past few days, seeing the electricity industry come to check and measure continuously, we are very reassured. Everyone hopes that the power will be restored so that family life can stabilize soon."
Mr. Vuong Dinh Duc, one of the earliest households to receive electricity in Da Phuc commune, could not hide his joy: “My house was flooded continuously for more than 10 days, at many times the water rose nearly 4 meters high. When the water receded, we were very worried because the electrical system in the house was soaked with water. But the electricians came to check each outlet and each electrical device, then instructed us how to dry and check. Thanks to that, my family was very assured about electrical safety when the power was restored.”

Not only stopping at the technical side, the electrical workers also support people in cleaning their houses and moving their belongings to stabilize their lives. Many people shared that it was this dedication that helped them feel more secure when life gradually returned to normal.
With the spirit of readiness and determination, EVNHANOI continues to affirm its role not only as an electricity supplier, but also as one of the pioneering forces in natural disaster prevention in the capital. Every dedicated work, every shift contributes to affirming the professionalism and beautiful image of the capital's electricity industry in the hearts of Hanoians.
