To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), on August 8, Hanoi city officially launched the digital platform "A80 - Pride of Vietnam."
The platform includes a website at https://a80.hanoi.gov.vn and a mobile application "A80 - Proud of Vietnam" - an official information channel serving propaganda, guidance, and introduction of commemorative activities, connecting people across the country and international friends on the journey towards national history.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Huong, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, said that as the focal point for organizing important commemorative activities, Hanoi has carefully and creatively prepared for the country's series of major events. The Department has built a digital ecosystem called "A80 - Pride of Vietnam."
This is not just a simple electronic information portal, but also an “intelligent assistant” - a companion for people and tourists in the process of learning, experiencing, and living every moment of the commemorative activities in the Capital.
“A80 - Proud of Vietnam” is built as a centralized, unified and reliable digital information center, updating fully, promptly and accurately all content related to the celebration.
Through this platform, people in the country, overseas Vietnamese and international friends can proactively access official information about parade schedules, art programs, cultural and historical exhibitions; announcements of event times, traffic, security and medical regulations from authorities; behind-the-scenes information, beautiful images, live TV videos and memorable moments from communities across the country.
The interface of the website “A80 - Proud of Vietnam” is designed with a joyful, modern festive spirit, imbued with the cultural identity of Thang Long-Hanoi. The main colors of bright red and yellow create a solemn yet intimate, lively and inspiring atmosphere.
Solemnly on the homepage is the image of President Ho Chi Minh reading the "Declaration of Independence" and the marching troops demonstrating the sacred historical spirit.
The categories are arranged coherently, intuitively, and easy to use, from event lists, image-video libraries to digital maps for real-time event lookup.
The website also integrates social networking, creating a space to spread patriotic emotions and connect the community. The cultural identity of Thang Long-Hanoi with thousands of years of civilization is vividly recreated through images of symbolic works, traditional art programs and emotional design colors.

Therefore, “A80 - Proud of Vietnam” is not only a platform for important events, but also a digital cultural product representing the mindset and mettle of the Capital in the new era.
The platform integrates many outstanding utilities such as AI Chatbot acting as a "virtual assistant," providing event consultation, directions, and creating real-time event reminders.
Interactive digital map updates venue locations, live LED screens, water points, medical stations, toilets, rest and dining areas; traffic warnings, route navigation…
All of these contribute to helping people move safely, proactively plan their trips, and improve user experience. The platform is also a space to spread national pride...
“A80 - Pride of Vietnam” is not only a technology platform serving the national celebration, but also a digital cultural declaration of the capital Hanoi - a place where the glorious past, creative present and integrated future converge.
From the historical milestone of 1945 to the transformation in the digital age, Hanoi continues to affirm its position as the political-cultural-creative center of the whole country, a city of a thousand years of civilization, for peace and prosperity.
This is the bridge connecting the past with the present, connecting the government with the people, connecting the Vietnamese people with friends from all over the world, creating a brilliant harmony called Vietnam.
As a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, Hanoi is constantly a pioneer in applying technology and innovation when organizing cultural events of national stature.
The A80 platform is not only an information digitization solution, but also a creative product with cultural-technological characteristics, contributing to realizing the vision of building a cultural-creative-modern and integrated capital.
