Hanoi is about to have a series of social housing projects.

(Dan Tri) - The Hanoi People's Committee has just approved the 2025 land use plan for a series of districts, including 14 social housing projects.

According to the 2025 land use plan, Dong Anh district (Hanoi) has 7 social housing projects in Dai Mach, Mai Lam, Kim Chung and Tien Duong communes.

Specifically, the social housing area for officers and soldiers of the Ministry of Public Security with a scale of 10.7 hectares; the project to build housing for low-income people at plots CT3 and CT4 of the new urban area of Kim Chung by the joint venture of Hanoi Housing Investment and Development Corporation (Handico) - Viglacera Corporation - JSC with a scale of 3.7 hectares; 2 concentrated social housing areas in Tien Duong commune with a scale of more than 44.7 hectares and 39.5 hectares; X1 social housing area with a scale of nearly 35.9 hectares; 2 social housing areas in Dai Mach commune with a scale of 94.6 hectares and 107 hectares.

Thanh Tri district has 2 social housing projects in Tu Hiep and Tan Trieu communes with areas of 1.56ha and 1.13ha respectively. Nam Tu Liem district has a social housing project in To Huu (Rice City To Huu) with an area of nearly 1.6ha. Bac Tu Liem district has a social housing project in Tay Tuu urban functional area with an area of more than 3ha.

In Long Bien district, there are 3 social housing projects including: Gia Quat housing project (social housing and business housing), Thuong Thanh ward, scale of 1ha, invested by BIC Vietnam Joint Stock Company; Thuong Thanh social housing area and technical infrastructure connection in Thuong Thanh ward, scale of more than 6ha, invested by a consortium of Him Lam Thu Do Joint Stock Company and BIC Vietnam Joint Stock Company; social housing project at CT land plot under CT1 planning project to build technical infrastructure of land plot for auction of land use rights in Long Bien ward.

Previously, in mid-December 2024, Corporation 319, Ministry of National Defense held a groundbreaking ceremony for the social housing project in Uy No commune, Dong Anh district, Hanoi.

The project is built on a land area of 15,286m2 (more than 1.5ha), with a total construction area of 6,880m2. The scale includes 4 blocks of 9-storey buildings (total construction floor area of all 4 blocks is about more than 61,000m2, construction density 45%). The total investment of the project is more than 600 billion VND.

Upon completion, the project will provide a total of 466 apartments ranging from 40m2 to nearly 77m2 to the market. The project is expected to be completed on October 30, 2026.

In early December 2024, the joint venture of Urban Infrastructure Development Investment Corporation UDIC, Hanoi Electricity and Water Construction Joint Stock Company (Haweicco) and DAC Hanoi Housing Development Joint Stock Company as investors started construction of a social housing project in Ha Dinh Urban Area (Tan Trieu Commune, Thanh Tri District, Hanoi).

The project construction land is over 9,300m2 in Ha Dinh New Urban Area, Thanh Tri District. According to the plan, the project is 25 floors high, including 5 basement floors, 20 apartment floors and a basement, the construction area is over 3,700m2, the total floor area is 62,550m2.

Upon completion, the project will provide 440 apartments, including 365 social housing apartments for sale, rent, and lease-purchase and 75 apartments for commercial business. The population is approximately 1,230 people. The project is expected to be constructed within 30 months.
