Hanoi will organize an international festival to preserve and develop craft villages.

The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 81/KH-UBND on Rural Industry Development in Hanoi by 2025.

According to the plan, in 2025, Hanoi will implement the Master Plan for Craft Village Development for the 2025-2030 period, with a vision to 2050. Research and develop a comprehensive policy to support the development of rural industries and craft villages in Hanoi as prescribed in Decree No. 52/2018/NDCP of the Government and the Capital Law 2024.

The Hanoi People's Committee also considered recognizing 10 titles of "Craft villages, traditional crafts and traditional craft villages" in 2025 for villages. Continue to organize the Hanoi Craft Village Product Competition in 2025.

Notably, Hanoi will plan to organize an international festival to preserve and develop craft villages. At the same time, it will propose that the World Craft Council evaluate and consider recognizing two craft villages as members of the World Network of Creative Craft Cities.

To implement Plan No. 81/KH-UBND, the Hanoi People's Committee will implement a number of solutions, including developing and implementing policies; applying science and technology; training human resources; propagating, promoting and promoting trade; supporting capital and disseminating tax policies...

Regarding the implementation budget, the Hanoi People's Committee assigned relevant departments, branches, localities and units based on their functions and tasks to proactively implement the plan from the assigned budget and other legal budget sources (if any) according to the provisions of law.
