Kinhtedothi - Hanoi People's Committee has issued Document No. 1202/TB-UBND dated December 5, 2024 announcing the Lunar New Year holiday schedule, National Day holiday September 2, Victory Day holiday April 30 and International Labor Day holiday May 1 in 2025.
Accordingly, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, socio-political organizations (civil servants and public employees) will have Lunar New Year holidays and some holidays in 2025.
Specifically: Lunar New Year holiday in 2025 will last for 9 consecutive days, from Saturday, January 25, 2025 to Sunday, February 2, 2025 (ie from December 26, year of Giap Thin to January 5, year of At Ty).
National Day holiday in 2025 will be 4 consecutive days, from August 30, 2025 (Saturday) to September 2, 2025 (Tuesday).
Victory Day 30/4 and International Labor Day 1/5 will be off for 5 consecutive days, from Wednesday 30/4/2025 to Sunday 4/5/2025 (compensated on Saturday 26/4/2025), in which civil servants and public employees will have their working days swapped from Friday 2/5/2025 to Saturday 26/4/2025.
Agencies and units that do not have a fixed Saturday and Sunday off schedule every week will arrange a suitable holiday schedule based on the actual situation of the unit.
For employees not subject to the above regulations, based on actual conditions, the employer shall decide to choose the Lunar New Year holiday, National Day holiday, Victory Day holiday on April 30 and International Labor Day on May 1, 2025 for employees according to Clause 7 of Notice No. 6150/TB LĐTBXH dated December 3, 2024 of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; ensuring 5 consecutive days of Lunar New Year holiday and 2 consecutive days of National Day holiday in 2025.
Notify employees of the Lunar New Year and National Day holiday plans for 2025 at least 30 days in advance. If the weekly day off coincides with the public holiday specified in Clause 1, Article 112 of the Labor Code, employees will be entitled to take a compensatory weekly day off on the next working day as specified in Clause 3, Article 111 of the Labor Code.
Employers are encouraged to apply the Lunar New Year holiday, National Day holiday, Victory Day holiday on April 30 and International Labor Day on May 1, 2025 for employees as prescribed for civil servants and public employees.
Other holidays and Tet holidays are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code.
