The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 161 on implementing initiatives to join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in 2023.

The plan aims to deploy specific tasks to implement Hanoi's initiatives and commitments when joining the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, while attracting the attention and response of all levels, sectors, organizations, businesses, people of the capital and international organizations to participate and support Hanoi in building a Creative City.
The plan clearly identifies six initiatives, of which Hanoi will implement three local-level initiatives and three international-level initiatives.
3 local-level initiatives include: Building the Hanoi Creative Design Center; building and supporting creative spaces in Hanoi; Hanoi creative talent TV program.
3 international initiatives include: Hanoi Creative Design Festival; organizing the UNESCO Creative Cities Network Forum in Southeast Asia in 2023; Network of young creative designers.
To perform these tasks well, the City People's Committee requests relevant departments, branches and People's Committees of districts, towns to closely follow the contents of Hanoi's candidacy dossier to join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, UNESCO's commitments and regulations, cooperation contents, foreign information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the reality in Hanoi and major provinces and cities in other countries, clearly defining the contents, tasks and appropriate key solutions for implementation.
At the same time, ensure close, regular and unified coordination between departments, branches, localities and relevant agencies in the process of effectively organizing the implementation of the proposed contents.
Based on the functions and tasks of relevant units, assign specific contents and responsibilities; clearly stipulate the information and progress reporting regime during the implementation of the above contents.
