Brentford's Gtech Community Stadium held a minute's silence before kick-off to remember the victims of the October 3 terror attack at a synagogue in Greater Manchester that left two people dead and at least four injured.

After the match whistle blew, the away team Man City quickly created an overwhelming situation with more than 70% of the ball possession time. After only 9 minutes, Man City had the opening goal 1-0 thanks to Erling Haaland, with a brave breakthrough in the penalty area and then decisively shot to defeat goalkeeper Kelleher (Brentford).

According to statistics from the British press, the 25-year-old striker has scored at 22 of the 23 stadiums he has played in the Premier League, the highest rate in Premier League history (96%). It is also Haaland's 16th goal in 9 consecutive appearances for Man City and the Norwegian national team.

The next few minutes were still a one-sided game for Man City, they created quite a few dangerous situations in front of Brentford's goal. However, their strikers Reijnders, Foden... could not take advantage to increase the gap.

In the end, Man City won 1-0 to move up to fifth place in the Premier League table with 13 points, 3 points behind the top team Arsenal.
