Thanks to that, he reached the milestone of 87 goals in just 98 matches for Manchester City, surpassing Raheem Sterling (85 goals in 194 matches) and Sergio Agüero (82 goals in 125 matches), who previously held the scoring record under Guardiola.

This impressive achievement shows Haaland's incredible scoring speed, helping him quickly take the top spot in just a short time since joining Man City in the summer of 2022.

As of the opening game of the 2025/26 season against Wolves, Haaland has averaged 0.89 goals per game, the highest in Premier League history for players with at least 50 appearances (FotMob). The Norwegian striker also needs only 98 matches to surpass the achievements of Agüero and Sterling.
