Hai Duong has recently approved the planning task of 5 new industrial parks (IPs) in the area. The projects include Cong Hoa 2 IP in Cong Hoa and Van Duc wards, Chi Linh city. The area studied for IP planning is about 190 hectares. The estimated workforce is about 13,000 to 19,000 people.
Next is Binh Giang 4 Industrial Park, the planning research area is 196 hectares. The estimated labor scale is about 14,000 workers. The Industrial Park is located in Nhan Quyen Commune, Co Bi, Binh Giang District. The Industrial Park's northern boundary borders the protection corridor of the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway. Thanh Mien 2 Industrial Park has a scale of 220 hectares, located in Doan Ket Commune, Le Hong, Thanh Mien District. The north is provincial road 396 (East - West axis of the province), the east borders district road 195.
Binh Giang 3 Industrial Park has a scale of 200 hectares, located in Binh Xuyen commune (Binh Giang district) and Thanh Tung commune (Thanh Mien district). The Industrial Park is adjacent to the East-West axis road (TL.396). Tu Ky 1 Industrial Park has a scale of 115.8 hectares, located in Hung Dao and Dai Son communes, Tu Ky district.

Thus, the above 5 industrial parks have a total area of about 921.8 hectares. These projects approved by Hai Duong all aim to attract investment, promote socio -economic development, create jobs for local workers; contribute to shifting the economic structure towards increasing the proportion of industry and services.
Industrial parks have a system of service works, convenient public social works, trade union institutions serving workers in the industrial park, a synchronous infrastructure system, ensuring landscape architecture and the environment of the area. From there, it meets the requirements of domestic and foreign investors wishing to invest in the locality.
In nature, these are all multi-industry industrial parks, with high-tech industrial nature, with advanced production technology. The province encourages attracting investment in environmentally friendly technologies, industries according to the province's investment attraction fields and related laws.
Hai Duong has implemented many traffic and transportation projects, modern infrastructure systems, to create progress for industrial park projects. The locality has many traffic works, promoting regional connectivity such as Trieu bridge connecting provincial road DT 389, May bridge connecting DT 389 with National Highway 5, building a road connecting the head of Trieu bridge with Kinh Mon town... Because of this convenience, many projects have invested in key industries of manufacturing, processing, electricity, electronics, high technology in existing industrial parks.
According to the Hai Duong Department of Finance, in the first 5 months of 2025, the province attracted 405.4 million USD in foreign direct investment (FDI), an increase of 117% over the same period last year. There were 26 newly licensed projects with a capital of 175.5 million USD, including 16 projects in industrial parks with a capital of 154 million USD; 10 projects outside industrial parks with a capital of 21.5 million USD.
Adjusted capital increase of 224.7 million USD of 35 projects. Of which, 30 projects in industrial parks with capital of 219 million USD, 5 projects outside industrial parks with capital of 5.7 million USD.

On July 1, Hai Duong province and Hai Phong city will officially merge under the new name of Hai Phong city. Hai Phong is currently the main import-export gateway in the North with the Lach Huyen deep-water seaport cluster and an international-scale warehouse and logistics system. In addition to owning a modern seaport system, the locality also has Cat Bi international airport and a convenient transportation network connecting with provinces and cities in the region. Meanwhile, Hai Duong has a large industrial land fund and abundant labor resources, which will be the place to develop new industrial parks and economic zones.
Connecting the development space between Hai Phong City and Hai Duong Province will be the "launching pad" to turn the two localities after the merger into a new industrial - service growth pole with leading competitiveness in the Northern region.
