On the morning of July 29, Hai Phong City Police informed that the authorities had promptly rescued 5 people from a fire at midnight.

Accordingly, at 1:48 a.m. on July 29, 2025, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Hai Phong City Police received news of a fire at a house at 23 Nguyen Binh, Gia Vien Ward, Hai Phong (next to the old Dong Quoc Binh Ward Police Station).

The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department dispatched two fire trucks and two rescue vehicles to carry out the mission. Upon arriving at the scene, the authorities discovered a fire on the first floor, toxic smoke and gas covering the building, the rolling door was locked and five people were trapped inside.

The Fire Police and Rescue Force quickly coordinated with Gia Vien Ward Police to deploy a ladder to rescue 2 people, and at the same time sent a reconnaissance team to the floors to search, guide 3 people to the 4th floor balcony, break down the rolling door, and spray water to put out the fire.

After efforts, the authorities rescued 5 trapped people to safety and controlled the fire from spreading to the surrounding area.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
