The 3rd meeting of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC 3) in 2025, taking place in Hai Phong from July 15 to 18, is an important event contributing to enhancing the position of the country and Vietnamese people in general, and Hai Phong City in particular, to leaders and delegates of 21 APEC economies , multinational corporations, financial institutions, research and innovation centers and international organizations. This is also an opportunity to promote the investment environment, economic potential and investment and business incentive policies of the S-shaped country and the Port City to the leading business community in the region and the world. Implementing the direction of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the City People's Committee assigned relevant departments, branches, units and localities to plan in detail the activities taking place around the meeting, ensuring professionalism, safety and high efficiency.

Up to this point, Hoang Van Thu Bridge and along Do Muoi Street, Tran Kien Street and around the City Conference and Performance Center hall where important events will take place have been decorated with flags, banners, billboards, large posters with propaganda content about ABAC 3 event, Hai Phong city investment promotion conference with the theme "Hai Phong - Strategic destination of the new era", as well as typical images of the Port City. The City Conference and Performance Center, a modern 3-storey building with a total floor area of nearly 50,000 ^m2 with 1,500 seats, is where the Hai Phong city investment promotion conference will take place. The large hall and multi-purpose conference room have completed the final work, ensuring the conference is successful.

Employees and workers of Hai Phong Electric Lighting Joint Stock Company urgently completed the decoration of the lighting system on Do Muoi Street to light up at night.

Mr. Pham Van Hung, Deputy General Director of Hai Phong Parks and Trees Joint Stock Company, said that up to this point, the unit has basically completed the task of general cleaning and decoration outside the Political - Administrative Center and the City Conference - Performance Center. Of which, nearly 20 cups of paper flowers with diameters from 1.2 - 1.4 m, 45 cups of water lilies and many ornamental plants were transported by the company's staff, employees and workers to decorate the lobby of the City Conference - Performance Center, contributing to ensuring aesthetics, green, clean and beautiful landscape, ready to welcome domestic and international delegates to attend the 3rd ABAC Session.

In addition, on the median strip of Do Muoi Street leading to the City's Political - Administrative Center, officers and workers of Hai Phong Lighting Joint Stock Company are actively focusing on installing decorative lighting systems to create an impression at night.

As one of the two locations where important activities of the meeting took place, Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh, Business Development Director, Pullman Hai Phong Grand Hotel informed: With experience in organizing many large conferences and events such as Techfest 2024, the event to welcome the King and Queen of Belgium, the Red Flamboyant Festival 2025, the Pullman Hotel Management Board directed departments to prioritize focusing on maximum resources to meet the accommodation needs of hundreds of international guests during the short time of the ABAC 3 Meeting; pay attention to arranging personnel and facilities ready for ABAC's working sessions and midday seminars.

Spreading the image of Vietnam and the Port City

At the conference to listen to the report on the progress of the coordination work to organize the recent ABAC 3rd Meeting, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Tien Chau emphasized: The ABAC 3rd Meeting held in Hai Phong City is a good opportunity to contribute to promoting the investment environment and policies of Vietnam in general and the city in particular, thereby encouraging investment and business activities of enterprises in APEC economies. This is truly a great opportunity to introduce the trade and investment potential, introduce and promote the brand of the country, people, culture and economy of Vietnam, a dynamic Port City in the eyes of businessmen and leading economic groups in the region and the world.

Along with the grand opening event of ABAC 3, the Hai Phong City Investment Promotion Conference is one of the important events organized by the City People's Committee on the sidelines of ABAC 3. It is expected that at the investment promotion conference, investment licenses with a total investment capital of about 15 billion USD of Hai Phong City will be granted. Therefore, from preparation to implementation, the city needs to clearly demonstrate professionalism and efficiency, ensuring that the activities of the conference take place in a secure and safe manner.
