Hai Phong requires clearly defining the deadline and roadmap for resolving outstanding voters' petitions.

(PLVN) - On November 21, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Le Anh Quan chaired a meeting on responding to and resolving specific petitions of voters at the 29th Session of the 16th City People's Council.

At the 29th Session, there were 177 specific recommendations from voters in 25 groups of City People's Council delegates sent to the City People's Committee. Some localities with many recommendations from voters are the communes and wards: Hai Duong , Le Thanh Nghi, Viet Hoa, Thanh Dong, Nam Dong, Tan Hung, Thach Khoi, Tu Minh, Ai Quoc; Chi Linh, Chu Van An, Tran Hung Dao, Nguyen Trai, Tran Nhan Tong, Le Dai Hanh; Binh Giang, Ke Sat, Duong An, Thuong Hong.

The Office of the Hai Phong City People's Committee has divided 189 contents into 36 local departments, agencies and branches to take the lead in resolving. According to the assessment of the Office of the City People's Committee, basically the voters' recommendations have been fully and clearly answered by the departments, units and localities. However, some of the answered contents are still general, without a specific plan to completely resolve the existing problems.

At the meeting, leaders of relevant departments, branches, communes and wards raised difficulties in resolving some specific petitions of voters to find solutions.

Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Le Anh Quan requested departments, branches and localities to seriously receive and respond to voters' opinions and recommendations before and after the session.

The Vice President noted that it is necessary to review, verify, and verify the contents of voters' reflections and classify them as first-time reflections or those that voters have reflected many times but have not yet resolved. On that basis, the issues that have been resolved should be clearly answered so that voters can understand. For issues that are being resolved or will be resolved in the near future, it is necessary to clearly state the roadmap, time of resolution, and the responsible entity to resolve them, to avoid the situation where voters and people make many requests but have not yet had or are unclear about the resolution plan.
