On the evening of November 21 at Ho Chi Minh City Book Street, the Night Book and Culture Festival with experiential activities officially began, to "position" Ho Chi Minh City Book Street not only as a "knowledge destination" but also as a "vibrant cultural space at night", symbolizing the open spirit and cultural vitality of the city.
Attending the opening night were Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai - Head of Propaganda, Press - Publishing Department (Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee); Mr. Tran Minh Khiem - Head of Press and Publishing Department (Department of Culture and Information of Ho Chi Minh City); Ms. Nguyen Minh Bao Ngoc - Deputy Director of Tourism Promotion Center (Department of Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City); Ms. Le Thi Tam - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Culture and Exhibition Center; Mr. Le Hoang - Member of the Standing Committee of Vietnam Publishing Association, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Book Street Company Limited.

Night Book and Culture Festival: Many exciting activities for all ages
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Hoang emphasized: "For many years, the activities of Ho Chi Minh City Book Street have mainly taken place during the day. After 6 p.m., the space becomes quiet and gradually closes, failing to fully promote the value of a dynamic, creative and unique cultural destination of the city. This reality requires expanding activities in the evening to prolong the cultural life, creating more meeting and exchange spaces for people - especially young people, families, connecting the community and international tourists".
The Book and Night Culture Festival is organized with the spirit of taking reading culture as the core, while focusing on exploiting activities with cultural - educational - artistic aspects and types of community activities and entertainment suitable to the community's need to enjoy positive cultural and spiritual life. This is a concrete step contributing to the implementation of the policy of building Ho Chi Minh City into a creative, dynamic and unique urban area.

The experimental activity of the Book and Culture Festival this week takes place over 3 nights (from November 21 to 23) with outstanding activities: Meeting - Exchange - Book Exchange Day; traditional art space of the homeland folk songs ; gift - souvenir - creative space to introduce handmade and creative products imbued with Vietnamese culture; folk games combined with modern elements; space to introduce craft villages, enjoy the skills of artisans from many regions; thematic stage - each day a story about culture, books and folk culinary art space, with traditional flavors and many interactive activities, cultural experiences for all ages.
"We are implementing a truly high-quality, attractive and engaging Night Book and Culture Festival - from an experiment on the last 3 days of each month to the last 3 days of each week and will take place regularly in the future," Mr. Le Hoang emphasized.
