Two contestants from Vinh City and Nghia Dan District won First Prize in the Provincial Contest "We Tell Stories of Uncle Ho"

The contest "We tell stories about Uncle Ho" is a practical activity to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025). At the same time, it concretizes Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo on "Promoting studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle"; Strengthening education for the younger generation on revolutionary ideals, morality, cultural lifestyle, enhancing patriotism, national pride, nurturing dreams, ambitions and aspirations to rise up; Promoting the implementation of the movement "Vietnamese children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings".

The activity is for team members, teenagers and children studying at primary and secondary schools across the province.

This year’s provincial final round had the participation of 22 primary school contestants and 21 secondary school contestants. These were the best contestants organized, selected and introduced by the district, town and city Youth Unions.

In the final round, each contestant chose a story that they liked best about the moral qualities and style of President Ho Chi Minh, and then presented it in a storytelling format , lasting from 5 to 8 minutes. To highlight the message of the story, many contestants skillfully used background music, dance, singing, and poetry to illustrate it in a lively and familiar way.

The contest is not only a useful playground, but also an opportunity for children to practice storytelling, presentation, expression and emotional skills. Thereby, helping them become more confident in learning and communication, contributing to the comprehensive development of personality.

With the careful and serious preparation of the contestants and the attention and facilitation of the teachers, this year's contest had many touching stories, expressing the sincere and deep feelings of the students for beloved Uncle Ho.

In the end, the Organizing Committee awarded 2 First prizes, 6 Second prizes, 12 Third prizes, and 23 Consolation prizes for both categories.
