The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued a Decision to organize a Film Week to celebrate the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).
The event will take place from May 12 to 15, 2025 in Nghe An province, within the framework of the activities of the 2025 Lotus Village Festival.
The opening ceremony of the Film Week will be held at 7:30 p.m. on May 12, 2025 at Nghe An Folk Song Theater (No. 30, Nguyen Sy Sach Street, Vinh City, Nghe An Province).
Three films selected for screening during the Film Week include: Documentary “Sketches from the Heart” produced by People’s Army Cinema. Feature film “Moon of Childhood” produced by Liberation Film Joint Stock Company. Feature film “Peach, Pho and Piano” produced by Feature Film Joint Stock Company I.
In addition to the film screenings, audiences will have the opportunity to interact with artists and film crews at the following locations: On May 13, at 7:30 p.m., the exchange will be held at the 414th Engineering Brigade (Military Region IV) and with the people of Nam Dan district.
On May 14, at 7:30 p.m., the exchange program continued to take place at Vinh University (No. 182 Le Duan, Vinh City, Nghe An Province).
The film week celebrating the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday is organized to express respect and deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh - National liberation hero, outstanding cultural celebrity; to celebrate the 135th anniversary of his birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).
This is also an activity to continue to propagate and educate about Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; contributing to promoting the study and following of his ideology, morality and style.
The film week is an opportunity to promote the image of Nghe An to the people of the whole country and international friends. Through the cinematographic works, the event also contributes to educating historical traditions, fostering patriotism, revolutionary heroism, solidarity, pride and the will to self-reliance and national self-reliance.
The film week is also one of the key activities in the 2025 Sen Village Festival, which will be held nationwide. In 2025, Nghe An province will coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Public Security and provinces and cities nationwide to organize the Festival and inaugurate the Monument "Uncle Ho Visits His Hometown".
