Opening the scientific discussion, journalist Pham Doan Anh Kiet, Executive Vice President of Phu Yen Journalists Association emphasized: Being proud of the Vietnamese revolutionary press for a century, we are also very proud of Phu Yen press with 79 years of formation and development. As a part of the Vietnamese revolutionary press, in recent years, Phu Yen press has had remarkable development in both quantity and quality, contributing positively and effectively to the cause of building and protecting the homeland and country. “Today’s scientific discussion focuses on clarifying the role, mission, and contribution of the press to the development of the homeland and country; issues facing the press today; the work of digital transformation of the press; tasks and solutions for the development of professional, humane, and modern revolutionary press; advising on building mechanisms, policies, and resources for press activities; building a team of journalists who meet the development requirements in the new situation, thereby building Phu Yen press to always be a core force, playing an important role on the ideological and cultural front, effectively contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland,” journalist Pham Doan Anh Kiet introduced.

In his welcoming speech, comrade Tran Thanh Hung said that Phu Yen press - with a history of 79 years - has been playing an important role in accompanying the Party Committee, government and people of the province. Phu Yen press contributes to promoting the image, attracting investment, criticizing policies and spreading beautiful stories about Phu Yen people and culture. In the context of innovation and international integration, Phu Yen press is facing many new challenges, especially the impact of digital technology . To meet the new requirements, Phu Yen press needs to continue to promote its role as a vanguard force on the ideological front, honestly and promptly reflecting the issues of the homeland. The press also needs to strengthen its role of criticism and supervision, contributing to building a transparent, fair and developed society.

In nearly 30 papers sent to the Organizing Committee of the scientific seminar, the papers presented at the seminar and the opinions expressed by the delegates provided valuable information, showing the contributions of Phu Yen press, the continuous efforts of the team of journalists on the development journey of Phu Yen homeland.
