PIONEER IN EVERY ACTION
In response to World Environment Day on June 5, the Youth Union of Binh Phu town launched and organized many meaningful activities, spreading the spirit of responsibility for the community in each Youth Union member. The highlight was the organization of the construction of a new "Green Road" and the improvement of an existing "Green Road" in the area. This activity not only demonstrates the initiative and creativity of the youth, but also affirms the active role of the Youth Union members in shaping a civilized and environmentally friendly lifestyle.

Recently, more than 40 Youth Union members and residents of Binh Phu town collected trash, weeded and planted 700 cotton trees along Nam Kenh Ban Day road and along Provincial Road 875B (through Binh Phu town). In addition, the Youth Union members also encouraged households living along the roads to regularly water and care for the trees so that they grow well, creating a green - clean - beautiful landscape in the area.
Secretary of the Youth Union of Binh Phu town Do Minh Man said: “Determining environmental protection as one of the regular, long-term activities, contributing to bringing a healthy living environment and a bright - green - clean - beautiful countryside, in recent years, the Youth Union of the town has promoted its pioneering role, volunteering to undertake projects, tasks, and organizing propaganda activities to raise awareness of environmental protection and climate change response for young union members.
Along with that, the Youth Union of Binh Phu town mobilized a large number of young people to actively and enthusiastically participate in activities such as fighting plastic waste, limiting the use of plastic bags, responding to "Tet tree planting", World Environment Day, Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, Volunteer Saturday, Green Sunday; participating in building new rural areas, civilized urban areas...".
The Youth Union of Binh Phu town actively registered for "Youth self-management" road sections, "Green Road" model, "Youth self-management" route towards building a "Model Youth" route, with the criteria of bright - green - clean - safe.
Effectively organize movements such as cleaning the environment; planting flowers on the roads; collecting garbage, cleaning village roads and alleys; clearing canals... These activities have contributed to raising awareness of protection for young people as well as the community, actively contributing to protecting a clean living environment.
RAISING AWARENESS OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Realizing the importance ofeducation and communication in environmental protection, the Youth Union of Binh Phu town has proactively innovated the content and methods of propaganda to suit reality.

Visual propaganda forms such as billboards, posters, grassroots radio, social networks... are effectively integrated with association, group and branch activities, attracting the attention and participation of a large number of union members, youth, children and people.
In addition, the Town Youth Union also actively disseminates the contents of the Law on Environmental Protection and its implementing guidelines, helping people better understand their rights and obligations in environmental protection.
At the same time, many practical models have been implemented such as: Sorting waste at source, encouraging people to limit the use of plastic bags, encouraging recycling and using environmentally friendly materials...
The Youth Unions have also actively guided people, especially small traders and businesses, to collect and dispose of waste in accordance with regulations. Thereby, creating clear changes in people's awareness and actions, gradually forming a civilized lifestyle and responsibility towards the surrounding environment.

We are very happy to receive high consensus from the people and positive evaluation from the local Party Committee and government. This is the motivation for the youth of Binh Phu to continue to be more creative and contribute more in the future.”
Although the activities of the Youth Union of Binh Phu Town are not large-scale programs, the regularity, perseverance and persistence in action have contributed to creating positive changes in the community. From roads littered with garbage and overgrown with weeds, they have now become "Green Roads" with trees and blooming flowers, creating an aesthetic highlight for the town.
Not only that, the “Green Road” model has become a source of inspiration for many other Youth Unions in Cai Lay district to learn and follow. This spread is proof that the youth are not only the leading force in the movement, but also an important factor in building a culture of environmental protection at the grassroots level.
Environmental protection is a long-term task and requires the cooperation of all classes of people. In particular, the Youth Union with its youth, enthusiasm and dedication - is the pioneer force, leading and inspiring the community.
The activities of the Youth Union of Binh Phu town are not only an affirmation of the role and responsibility of youth but also a vivid proof of the motto "Youth is the core force in environmental protection".
