According to information from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 6, many areas are forecast to have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally over 80mm.
Localized heavy rains are likely to cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and waterlogging in low-lying areas.
On the morning of June 6, the areas of Dien Bien , Lai Chau and Ha Giang provinces continued to have rain with common accumulated rainfall as follows: Lai Chau, Dien Bien from 20-50mm, locally over 60mm; Ha Giang 30-60mm, locally over 80mm.
Risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes in the above provinces, especially in the districts: Nam Nhun, Phong Tho, Sin Ho, Tam Duong, Tan Uyen, Lai Chau city (Lai Chau): Dien Bien, Dien Bien Dong, Muong Ang, Muong Cha, Dien Bien Phu city, Muong Lay town (Dien Bien); Bac Me, Bac Quang, Hoang Su Phi, Quang Binh, Vi Xuyen, Yen Minh ( Ha Giang ).
During the day and night of June 6, in the South Central, Central Highlands and Southern regions, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, locally over 60mm (rain concentrated in the afternoon and evening).
In Ninh Thuan , the province continues to have rain with accumulated rainfall ranging from 20-40mm, in some places over 60mm. There is a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes in the above province, especially in the districts of Bac Ai, Ninh Son, Thuan Nam.
Flash floods and landslides can have very negative impacts on the environment, threaten people's lives; cause local traffic congestion, affect the movement of vehicles; destroy civil and economic works, causing damage to production and socio-economic activities.

Hanoi
- Sunny, hot in some places, Southeast to South wind level 2-3.
- Lowest temperature from 26-28 degrees Celsius, highest from 33-35 degrees Celsius, some places above 35 degrees Celsius.
Northwest
- Light wind, temperature ranges from 24-27 degrees Celsius, some places below 23 degrees Celsius; highest from 31-34 degrees Celsius, some places above 35 degrees Celsius
Northeast
- The weather is similar to Hanoi, with the lowest temperature from 25-28 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas below 24 degrees Celsius; the highest from 31-34 degrees Celsius, in some places above 35 degrees Celsius.
From Thanh Hoa to Hue
- Sunny day, hot in some places, light wind, temperature ranges from 25-28 degrees Celsius, highest 32-35 degrees Celsius, some places above 35 degrees Celsius.
From Da Nang to Binh Thuan
- Sunny, hot in some places; in the South, in the late afternoon and evening, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. Thunderstorms may include tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
- Common temperature from 24-27 degrees Celsius, highest 31-34 degrees Celsius, some places over 35 degrees Celsius.
Central Highlands
- Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms, scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, locally heavy rain in some places. Southwest wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms, beware of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
- Lowest temperature 20-23 degrees Celsius, highest 28-31 degrees Celsius, some places above 31 degrees Celsius.
Southern Vietnam
- Weather is similar to the Central Highlands, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, locally heavy rain. Southwesterly winds level 2-3, with the risk of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind in thunderstorms.
- Temperature ranges from 24-27 degrees Celsius, highest 31-34 degrees Celsius, some places above 34 degrees Celsius.
Weather at sea
At sea, during the day and night of June 6, the Central and Southern East Sea (including the waters of Truong Sa archipelago), the waters from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to Kien Giang and the Gulf of Thailand will have scattered showers and thunderstorms.
During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, strong winds of level 6-7 and waves over 2 m high. All vessels operating in the above areas are at risk of being affected by tornadoes and strong winds.
