Based on Plan No. 165/KH-BCĐ, dated January 10, 2025 of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province. At the beginning of the year, the District People's Committee issued Decision No. 3136-QD/UBND on the establishment of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the area. At the same time, it directed relevant functional departments and People's Committees of communes and towns to coordinate with local agencies and mass organizations to review and summarize households in need of building new or repairing houses in the locality under two programs: Housing support for people with revolutionary contributions; elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for people (poor and near-poor households).
District leaders gave financial support to build a house for Ms. Tran Thi Thu in Zone 5, Dong Linh Commune.
On that basis, the district has deployed and launched the Emulation Movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area in 2025. The Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses at the district level held a conference to launch the elimination of temporary houses and deployed a number of tasks on the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses to communes and towns in the district. At the same time, the Emulation Movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses was launched in Son Cuong commune.
Along with that, the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the district has also recorded many bright spots with creative and effective methods. Accordingly, the general support level from the State budget for both subjects, poor households, near-poor households, families of people with revolutionary contributions (except for households that are not able to pay for housing). New construction is supported with 60 million VND/house; repair is supported with 30 million VND/house. For poor households that are not able to pay for housing, the maximum support level is 130 million VND/house. Of which, the State budget is 60 million VND, the "For the Poor" Fund at all levels is 70 million VND.
Since August 2024, the district has supported the construction of 52 houses for people with revolutionary contributions and martyrs' relatives, with a total cost of 4,950 million VND. Housing support under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is 36 houses, with a total cost of more than 3,780 million VND. |
After the Steering Committee for temporary house removal of the commune conducted a review, the family of Mrs. Tran Thi Thu in Zone 5, Dong Linh commune was eligible for financial support to build a house. Mrs. Thu shared: "My family is eligible for support to remove temporary houses of the commune, the estimated cost of construction is also a lot, but my family tried to borrow money, along with the help of superiors, brothers, neighbors so that my mother and I can have a solid house, a stable life...".
Along with the attention of local authorities, the coordination of organization and implementation between the government, agencies, units, departments and the Vietnam Fatherland Front in supporting the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses has been carried out synchronously and effectively. At the same time, attention is paid to propaganda work, so that each cadre, civil servant and all classes of people, especially poor households, can benefit, understand and fully perceive the purpose, meaning and effectiveness, thereby creating consensus among the people; mobilizing the participation of the entire political system.
Timely resolve difficulties and obstacles in land procedures to create favorable conditions for households to receive support and meet requirements according to schedule. However, during the implementation process, there are still some difficulties and obstacles, some households do not have funds to build houses...
Leaders of the District Party Committee and the District Fatherland Front Committee presented financial support to build a house for Ms. Doan Thi Tinh, in Zone 1, Dong Xuan Commune.
Comrade Nguyen Kim Hai - Chairman of the District Fatherland Front Committee said: Along with resources from higher levels, the District Fatherland Front Committee has stepped up propaganda and mobilized philanthropists, benefactors, companies, businesses located in the area and socio-political organizations to support funding, materials, and labor days, helping households quickly have new houses according to the criteria, helping people "settle down". At the same time, the district is determined to strive by December 31, 2025, to complete the construction and repair of households eligible for repair and new construction support for both subjects according to the plan; complete acceptance and put the project into use in December 2025.
Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses with the spirit of "Leaving no one behind" not only demonstrates the determination and consensus of the entire political system in the district but also requires efforts from poor households themselves to overcome poverty.
Each new, spacious and solid house built and donated means that one more poor household will have a stable place to live, helping them feel secure in working, producing and stabilizing their lives. Contributing to the Party Committee and the government in completing the targets and tasks of local socio -economic development.
Mr. Tu
