Hoi An meeting to celebrate 100 years of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day

(QNO) - On the evening of June 5, Hoi An City held a press meeting on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).

Attending the meeting were representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam; leaders of press agencies and journalists and reporters in Quang Nam province and Da Nang city.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Hoi An City People's Committee Nguyen Van Son said that the meeting was held on a very special occasion, both to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and also to be the last meeting with the press of Hoi An City (there will no longer be a district-level government from July 1, 2025).

Mr. Son said that in the first half of 2025, the city's socio -economic situation continued to achieve many positive signals, especially in tourism. In addition, many works and projects were urgently invested in and completed before the city government model was no longer in place.

On this occasion, the leaders of Hoi An City expressed their gratitude for the support of press agencies and journalists to Hoi An City over the years, contributing to the preservation and promotion of the heritage urban brand.

At the same time, it is hoped that news agencies and newspapers will continue to coordinate information, propaganda, timely and extensive feedback on important issues in the conservation and development of Hoi An in the coming period when the city is reorganized into 3 wards and 1 commune.
