Celebrating the 70th anniversary of Thanh Ha commune's establishment and receiving the Certificate of recognition for meeting new rural standards

On the morning of April 27, the Party Committee, government and people of Thanh Ha commune (Thanh Chuong district) held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of its establishment and announce the Provincial People's Committee's Decision to recognize the commune as meeting new rural standards in 2024.

Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Vo Thi Nhung - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment; Nguyen Van Hang - Deputy Chief of the Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Office; leaders of Thanh Chuong district, along with a large number of cadres, party members and people of Thanh Ha commune.

Comprehensive development

Located in the southwest of Thanh Chuong district, Thanh Ha commune is in a geographical position that is not very favorable for economic development and people's lives.

However, despite difficult conditions, generations of cadres, party members and people of Thanh Ha commune are always united, making efforts, persistently, steadfastly, creatively, accompanying their homeland and country in the struggle to protect the Fatherland and build and develop their homeland and country.

During the resistance war against the US to save the country, Thanh Ha was the place to receive and transport people and vehicles to the battlefield, becoming a solid rear base for the front line; this was also the area where many agencies and units evacuated. Many Thanh Ha children directly participated in fighting on the battlefields, contributing to bringing peace and unity to the country.

During the resistance wars to protect the Fatherland, Thanh Ha commune had 111 outstanding children who fell; many wounded and sick soldiers; and 9 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.

Peace restored, generations of cadres, party members and people of Thanh Ha continue to strive to overcome difficulties, rise up along with the development of their homeland and country.

In particular, during the 2020 - 2025 term, with the determination to build to reach the new rural finish line; The Party Committee, government and people of Thanh Ha commune have united, joined hands, unanimously overcome difficulties, promoted internal strength with the companionship of children far from home and the support of superiors, completing 19/19 new rural criteria.

Thanh Ha commune was assessed and recognized by the Provincial People's Committee to meet new rural standards in 2024, in Decision No. 290/QD-UBND dated April 2, 2025. This affirms the comprehensive development of Thanh Ha in terms of transport infrastructure, education , health, culture, sports; the material and spiritual life of the people is improved. The average income in Thanh Ha commune in 2024 will reach more than 50 million VND/person/year.

Unite to develop the homeland

Speaking at the ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment and receive the Certificate of recognition of meeting the new rural standards of Thanh Ha commune, comrade Le Dinh Thanh - Standing Deputy Secretary of Thanh Chuong District Party Committee affirmed: The highlight in the new rural construction in Thanh Ha commune is the people's strength. The Party Committee, government and organizations in the local political system have well implemented the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people check, people benefit" in the new rural construction.

The total resources mobilized for new rural construction in Thanh Ha commune are over 70 billion VND; of which, the mobilization of internal resources from the people and children far from home contributed nearly 8.4 billion VND. The rate of commune roads paved with asphalt and concrete reached 100%; the rate of village and hamlet roads paved with concrete reached over 90%.

In the coming time, Thanh Ha commune will merge with Kim Bang and Thanh Thuy communes to form a new commune; therefore, the Standing Deputy Secretary of Thanh Chuong District Party Committee emphasized that the commune's cadres, party members and people continue to unite and reach consensus, creating a stable environment, promoting the common development of the locality.

In particular, focusing on developing a diversified economy in various industries and fields, promoting the restructuring of crops and livestock with high economic value; along with the economy, taking care of cultural and social development to continue to improve and further enhance the quality of life for the people.

At the 70th anniversary celebration and receiving the Decision recognizing Thanh Ha commune as meeting new rural standards, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the commune's establishment.

The Provincial People's Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 4 individuals with outstanding achievements in the new rural construction movement. Thanh Chuong District People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 collectives and 6 individuals with outstanding achievements in new rural construction.
