KBS reported that from July 3, the Korean Ministry of Justice will extend the validity of the electronic travel permit (K-ETA) for foreign tourists from 2 years to 3 years.
Young people under 17 and seniors over 65 who are not eligible for this category are also allowed to enter the country without obtaining a K-ETA in advance. K-ETA is a system in which citizens of 112 countries that are exempt from visa requirements are allowed to enter Korea by entering their information on the homepage before departure. K-ETA allows users to enter the country without any restrictions on the number of times they enter the country during the validity period.
In the first half of this year, support services were expanded from Korean and English to Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Spanish, French, and Malay.
