Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy - Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Environment (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) assessed that although Vietnam's agricultural sector has many steps of development and large production capacity, there are still many small fields, different from modern agriculture.
“The requirement for adaptability to regional conditions for Vietnamese rice fields is very high,” said Ms. Thuy, adding that this is a very standard order requirement for current production, when agriculture is shifting strongly from agricultural production to agricultural economy.
According to Ms. Thuy, production is important but more important is to understand market requirements. Production needs to clearly orient the market, from which to choose appropriate machinery and technical advances.
Ms. Thuy hopes that through the program, machinery manufacturers will understand market needs, thereby having plans to manufacture more suitable machinery in the next exhibitions.
