Thousands of teachers attend Ho Chi Minh City preschool education festival

The Ho Chi Minh City Preschool Education Development Connection Day, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, took place all day today at the People's Committee of Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. This was the first time the festival was held in the city, but it attracted thousands of preschool teachers from all units in districts, Thu Duc City, parents, and children to participate and experience.

The festival space includes booths from 38 educational units, each unit is an exhibition area for educational connection activities and the hall - with presentations and experience sharing from preschool educational institutions.

Representatives of the units shared their results and experiences in implementing educational methods such as STEM/STEAM method; See - Learning method; Reggio - Emilia method; Montessori method; application of artificial intelligence AI in preschool education facilities. In addition, there were also experience sharing sessions from preschool schools/classes that have done well in assessing and organizing preschool children to get acquainted with English; applying digital transformation or developing the field of aesthetics for preschool children...

The first Ho Chi Minh City Preschool Education Development Connection Festival was held in the city.

The organizers hope this is an opportunity to connect and exchange so that preschools in Ho Chi Minh City can better care for, educate, and nurture children.

There should be a committee to select content and learning materials in each preschool.

Ms. Le Thuy My Chau, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said: "The Ho Chi Minh City Preschool Education Development Connection Day" aims to promote the positivity of preschool education institutions in connecting with educational units to carry out activities of nurturing, caring for and educating children. Especially, to innovate educational methods for children in a modern direction, promoting initiative, creativity, and applying skills for children in accordance with the preschool education program".

Ms. Chau suggested that the Preschool Education Department of the Department of Education and Training should establish an evaluation team to record the report on the results of organizing the festival so that the preschool education connection festival in the following years will be more complete.

"For the Department of Education and Training of districts, towns, and Thu Duc City, I suggest that leaders review the highlights through the reports and booths at the festival, and guide preschools in the area to appropriately apply the content to contribute to improving the quality of child care and education. Localities also need to guide preschools to establish a committee to select content and learning materials in accordance with the regulations in Circular 30 and Circular 47 of the Ministry of Education and Training on appraisal, approval and selection of materials for use at educational institutions," said Ms. Chau.

From academic units to units specializing in children's sports activities, all participated with booths.

The festival was held for the first time, attracting a large number of teachers, parents and children to participate.

At the same time, for preschools, Ms. Chau suggested that it is necessary to seriously establish a committee to select content and learning materials in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, research appropriate content, organize to collect opinions from parents and caregivers closely, unify the selected content and implement in accordance with regulations.

Ms. Luong Thi Hong Diep, Head of the Preschool Education Department, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, said that the "Ho Chi Minh City Preschool Education Development Connection Day" attracted a large number of teachers and units to participate. This is a good sign, because this is an opportunity for units, preschool education facilities, preschool teachers to share documents, learning materials, equipment; information technology application solutions; share safe nutritional food sources, enhance physical strength, develop physical fitness, harmoniously combine nutrition and exercise to help children develop comprehensively.

This festival is also an opportunity to raise awareness, attract the participation of the community, young parents and caregivers; create a close connection between schools, families and society to care for education; improve the quality of nurturing, caring for and educating young children...
