The Ministry of Education and Training has just sent a report to the Prime Minister on the direction, organization of response and recovery of the consequences of storm Bualoi by the education and training sector. According to the report, while storm Ragasa (storm No. 9) has not yet dissipated, storm Bualoi continues to form and become storm No. 10 in 2025, directly threatening many provinces and cities.

According to reports from the Department of Education and Training of some localities, initial damage to facilities shows the serious impact of storm No. 10 on educational institutions.

In Thua Thien Hue , 134 schools were affected, with estimated damage of about 1.1 billion VND; some low-lying schools had to temporarily close.

Many schools in Nghe An were flooded and severely damaged after storm No. 10.

In Nghe An, 483 educational establishments were affected, causing damage of nearly 300 billion VND; students in the whole province were absent from school to ensure safety.

In Thanh Hoa, 30 educational establishments were affected, damages are being counted; students in the whole province are on leave to ensure safety...

In Hanoi, in response to heavy rains causing flooding on many streets on the morning of September 30, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training sent a document to the People's Committees of wards, communes and affiliated schools requesting urgent measures to prevent and respond to storm No. 10, ensuring absolute safety for students, teachers and facilities.

The Department of Education and Training requests units to closely monitor weather developments, strictly implement instructions from the central government, city and local authorities in disaster prevention, control and search and rescue; regularly and closely monitor warnings, forecasts and developments of weather and natural disasters to proactively prevent, avoid, respond to and overcome the consequences of natural disasters and incidents.

Based on the weather situation, the units proactively check the tree system in the school campus. If they detect perennial trees that are at risk of breaking or falling, they must report it for timely handling. If they cannot do so immediately, they must warn of the danger and contact the relevant authorities for the earliest possible handling. The schools urgently move assets, machinery, equipment, tables, chairs, records, and books to a safe place to ensure that they are not damaged, broken, or lost, minimizing the damage caused by the storm.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training also noted that schools in the storm-hit areas with boarding students need to closely manage students; the movement of students must be closely coordinated between the school and the family. Schools need to prepare enough drinking water, food, and provisions to ensure the living needs of students staying at school during the storm. For schools affected by storms and floods where students cannot go to school to study and live, they need to proactively develop appropriate plans and forms of study.

Previously, in the face of the complicated developments of storm No. 10, to minimize damage and ensure the safety of students, teachers and educational facilities, the Minister of Education and Training issued a dispatch to local Departments of Education and Training on proactively responding to storm No. 10.

Currently, the Ministry of Education and Training has been and is continuing to direct the Departments of Education and Training to closely monitor the storm's developments, report damage, and focus on overcoming the consequences to soon stabilize teaching and learning.
